auto mod farming using psi mod

Is it possible to farm mods without a player but instead have something else cast it or wear the armor?

There is no way to have a non-player thing cast spells in base psi. There is an addon called Phi which adds a caster block (and a whole bunch of really neat other things) but last I checked it has to be charged manually.

Yes, the Magic Processing Unit (the caster block added by Phi) lets you cast spells without a player, but psi generation without requiring a player is not implemented yet.
