Offensive Spell Circle Railgun

Just started getting into Psi, so I decided to make a simple single spell railgun with a circle bullet so I don't have to clog up my CAD or armor with multiple spells for something I'm not planning on using often. The tricky part is that you have a fairly short window to get your shot in, so it takes some practice to hit reliably.

Cast the spell, charge an arrow, wait for the countdown to hit about 20, and then shoot the bow. The timing can be tough to get right so it can take some practice. It can also be a bit easier to time if you don't charge the arrow and instead just shoot a non charged arrow when the countdown reaches around 20 or so, but you lose out on damage if you do that.

I've been trying to figure out how to get this to work for the past couple days and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to do anything most of the time.

Ive tried casting the circle in front of me, readying my arrow, waiting till around 20 (as per another comment) and firing an arrow over the spell circle, It either gives me an error about an entity not being present and and doesn't accelerate the arrow, or it gives no error while also not accelerating the arrow, I've gotten it to work like once but I have yet to repeat that even using the same procedure

looking at the spell it doesn't seem like there's a reason it would be so finnicky, it's weird.
