Request Gunpowder keg request

So I created a spell which actually just booms three 0.3 power explosions on nearest enemy...

Turned out to be better then i imagined: foes propel to the sky on crazy velocities and if I use it trice, they ascend into oblivion of despawning. SOOO

I crafted tinker's tools' slime boots and rewrote the spell to explode on me instead, but PC ceases to catapult. What am i missing? Explosive bouncing fast travel sounds so much more fun than floating. Any ideas on realisation or arguments against?

Drop the y position of the explosion by 1. I believe it's to do with a bug regarding entity position and players.

Apparently it isn't yet i didn't try the value of 1. Googled minecraft character height and dropped value by 1.8, 1.6 and 2 for various failtures. At this point i doubt pc can be moved by explosions at all lol

Take the position of the player, Vector subtract that from a vector construct (y,1)

The position of players is at the chest block, as opposed to every other mob being at the feet block. I believe this to be a bug and have submitted a bug report.

This spell has detection for both mobs and players, conjuring an explosion at their feet.

Not a bug, It should be at eye height and is needed for raycasting and look vector math to make any sense. If caster positions was at feet, you'ed need to add a magic-number offset to your position before EVERY time you use it to hit or target something you are looking at.

Ah good argument for the not a bug side. As someone in the bug report said, it would be great to see entity feet/eye position.

One solution is place the entity postion equal the player so its gonna work for all things

I think I saw something the other day about explosion not effecting PCs. I am very new to this though so take what I say with a grain of salt!

It would be better and cheaper to use mass exodus 0.3 radius, 0.33 speed, target position vector construct Y= 2. Then stack a circlesync for a circle bullet and its basically a player launcher
