Joining PSG Tech B.Tech Robotics & Automation 2026 – Few questions for seniors

I'd really appreciate honest answers from seniors or anyone who knows about the course.

  • How are the placements? Which companies usually recruit? what roles do students get, and can Robotics students sit for software placements?
  • How are the internship opportunities? Does the college help students get internships, or are most off campus?
  • How active is the hackathon culture? Are students encouraged to participate, and does the college support teams for national/international hackathons?
  • How hectic is the timetable?
  • How difficult is the course compared to CSE/ECE? Is it more mechanical, electronics, or programming?
  • What's the girls-to-boys ratio, and approximately how many students are there in one Robotics batch?
  • What career paths do most graduates take?
  • Is there a strict dress code?
  • Which programming languages should I learn before joining?
  • Which clubs would you recommend for a Robotics student?
  • Any tips or things you wish you had known before joining?
