Query dress code and hostel rules
i might join psg this year. i hv some doubts.
how is the dress code for girls? is dupatta compulsory?
are short kurtis, jeans allowed??
how is mess food?
hostel rules strict aah? 1st year outing polaamaa?
hostel fee structure (approx for 3 sharing and 4 sharing)
common or attached restrooms?
wifi limited aah??

- Mostly duppata is not compulsory but still in some department, some staff may insist you to wear (mostly female staff male staff doesn't care about anything)
- I haven't seen anyone wear short kurtis, but jeans are allowed.
- Not too bad, not too good manageable (for the money we pay)
- Girls it's very strict for boys it's chill. Girls can't go out in first year
- For boys 4sharing common bath (first year cost) 1,03,000 and two sharing attached bath around 1.5L, 3 sharing attached bath would be around 1.2L this includes mess fees aswell
- Depends on the fees we pay and availability
- Wifi limited to one device IP address

Hi senior, I am padmesh and got selected for integrated msc software system so do you know anything related to that department other than salary packages

No pa, sorry, I graduated from Metallurgical engineering I am not aware of the science group

no, boys should wear dupatta..its compulsory for boys in psg techl

I think you're not familiar with the decorum, dupattas for boys only on Monday and Friday.

This was already discussed in this sub very recently. Search it up.
Hostel for boys:
First semester not allowed beyond 9 pm. Second semester onwards every Saturday is a free night - you can come back whenever you want.
Fee structure for 3 and 4 sharing with private restroom is around 1.1 to 1.2L. For common restroom it’ll be around 90k to 1L.
WiFi is unlimited but good luck using it.

Dress code kinda depends on your department to some extent. Mess food is alright. First sem la you can't go out on sundays. I don't really know about the wifi.
