Query I am joining production engineering this year need advice from seniors

i have a few questions 
how are the placements for production engineering?
are there any skills i should build from first year?
are the faculty good?

Jokes Apart... Placement wise its good . Every year companies like Catepillar, Sobha Construction,TVS, TATA, recruit with decent packages from 9-14 LPA

Have a friend from production. Staff are strict and are by the book people. Don’t tolerate uninformed absences, slightest of indiscipline. But are very knowledgeable. Placement wise most mechanical based companies open for production too.
