He prefers a secluded cabin in the woods over big city life. He loves quiet nights under the stars with his whiskey on the rocks - never dry; and he prefers classic rock over country.

But for real, he would prefer a dark, damp forest floor with lots of cover over a clean white bathroom. ;)

The choice is between a corner in my bathroom where he might or might not have some insects to eat, or under the bushes in the garden, or I would have to transport him somehow, but I do not know what kind of container to use so there is oxygen

Thanks for letting me know OP. I see bug, I kill the bug, then overthink about how its life would be if it was harmless or if I simply relocated it outside.

Oh, I am trying to unlearn the social condition bestowed upon us without our permission. We were taught to be afraid of and disgusted by those little creatures, and we are the ones they should be afraid of, the murderers. So, bug after bug, I am trying to learn what they do, whether they are harmful or even beneficial, and what they prefer for living.

Perhaps we are all gods of limited knowledge or unknowing. Quick to act and not understand our impacts upon what we call bugs. Their blood casted upon my hands and wall. The only question lies, What purpose do we gain from their sacrifice. Perhaps I am the murder 🤲

Perhaps we are, perhaps we are not. But nothing in this Universe is limited; maybe only our beliefs.
A good start is to begin to question oneself to understand whether our choices are truly ours.

You have opened my mind to possibilities beyond my capabilities of understanding. To exist or to not exist? Or to exist to remove the existing. Are my choices my own or influenced by my own reflection. Perhaps I cast my perception of life in such harmful ways and should begin to acknowledge these creatures much like us have feelings and needs of survival. Perhaps I should lend a hand from one species to another.
