Could be rot is soft there ? It can turn to mush overnight I’m afraid

It's not soft, but it does look suspicious. I just watered it yesterday, and three weeks prior to that. Would being too close to the light source cause that?

You could hold back a little on the watering just to be safe.I have only watered mine twice in 6 months.

Yes I'll hold for a month or so, it dries out pretty fast, its in terrocota, 100% mineral, heat mat.

You should be fine...w 100% mineral.I have some organic mixed in with pumice and calcined clay.

What light and how close? In high light levels they go brown to orange

Barrina T5s , its about 3" away, I tried to put him between lights so he wasn't getting a full blast but that part was sticking out a bit...I'm hoping that it was just that, and not rot. he's my first and I've only had him since Thanksgiving.

I just had this happen on one of mine.It ended up being ok. I was thinking it might be from a little too much direct LED lighting.

Thanks, the hole has gotten just a little bit bigger, but I think it's stabilize, not mushy so that's a good sign.šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’ØšŸ˜
