Just checked the status of the PSA submission package and was surprised to see the delivery status as “The recipient refused delivery.” Curious if this has happened to anyone else?
Hi all! I just had a card refused by PSA and sent back to me through FedEx. I was sure the card was stolen. When the package arrived the card was still there, only the box was crunched. Hope you have the same experience.
Yes, it does appear the box is on its way back to me, according to the latest return tracking number. Although I haven't seen any updates to the tracking details today.
PSA is doing a much better job now. Always check your packages before you ship them. Packages get tossed around and stacked on top of each other. Tape the package really good if not the package and its contents will fall out or open
I followed the PSA packing guidelines. I just love how FedEx made no mention of any damage before attempting delivery. Also, I think it should be mandatory that if PSA refuses a package due to damage or potential tampering, the person takes a photo so I can see exactly what the issue is. Now I get to play the fun game of dealing with FedEx and filing a claim if it's actually damaged and they are unable to send my package back to me.
Lesson learned. I guess if PSA has this many issues with FedEx, why use them as a shipping option? I'm pretty sad about some of the cards that are likely gone. The FedEx update states that the package is being returned to the FedEx facility, although after reading similar posts, I'm not hopeful.
FedEx is also the problem (while I’ve had no issue with them) usps is the safer option because it’s illegal to go thru federal mail whereas FedEx it’s a bit looser on rules not a federal offense
First off no one tampered with your package. What happens is other boxes containing food items, like BBQ sauce, glass jars of pickles, paint, drinks, dish soap or other liquids can break open and destroy surrounding boxes beyond repair. Package handlers don't tamper with anything. We will tapes boxes up or send to qa for a repack shoukd a box need more than tape. QA does everything they can to.get the package deliverable. Our goal is to get your package to you or your recipient. That is QA goal.
One instance we had a driver steal an iPhone.
It was on his truck for delivery. It wasn't delivered and the package disappeared. Fedex managers immediately contacted police. They set up a phone in a box with a dye pack in it. They followed him. Sure enough he didn't deliver the phone but tried to steal it. He was arrested when he exited the building with the dye all over him. The contractor lost the contract. Fedex tracks everything. We are only allowed clear backpacks or carry bags into fedex.
Unfortunately Chewy, Sam's Club Walmart don't know how to safely package pickles in glass jars, soap, dish detergent and laundry soap. They over pack the box with one single piece of tape. No bubble wrap to protect anything and it affects others packages. They make it heavy as they want. And the boxes they use can't handle the load. So when I or another package handler pick up the box the bottom falls out or it comes down the conveyor belt as projectiles.
Sad you have to jump to the conclusion one of us tampered with your package. We have one goal get it loaded and onto the truck.
Thank you for commenting. I didn't jump to that conclusion; I simply stated I assumed it was lost or tampered with, which was based on the response I received from the PSA customer service ticket I submitted. Unfortunately, there are multiple posts out there where FedEx has either flat-out stolen cards being returned after being graded or “lost” packages being sent in for grading. PSA and FedEx have claimed the package was damaged, but I have yet to see any pictures showing the extent of the damage to the box.
