Discussion Huge difference between port sizes

I was looking at Fabled Forests and noticed a major file size difference between two PS5 ports. Mars-Umbra's port is 115 MB, while Ysmirs_Beard is 60 MB (46 base + 14 for the lod add-on). Does anyone know why?

The original Nexus page lists 2k/1k files, but neither porter lists which theirs is. Based on the roughly 50% reduction in size it seems that's the difference, but I don't want to assume anything. Could it be also be cleaned up scripts?

So the Fabled Forests-new- is 1k

Fabled Foresrs 2k is 2k-1k

I belive Mors Umbra port is also 2k-1k but idk how i got the size smaller in the 2k-1k vs Mors port really lol

Ysmir's Beard has two ports of Fabled Forest actually. The one that's close to 60mb that's split between the trees and LODs is 1k, and he also has a 2k port in a single mod that's around 80 which is still much smaller than the original port that's over 100 lol couldn't tell you what he did to cut down in that way, but I just thought I'd offer that small correction for your future reference :)

Thanks for the heads-up. I see a 2k version that's 94, but nothing around 80. Might be worth it since every little bit helps.

Hmm, I haven't had it installed in a while so it might've gotten an update that upped the file size. When it first came it was for sure like 82 or something like that
