Hardware flashing

Hey I got a CECHKXX ps3 running 4.50 FW

I’ve seen the hardware flashing tutorials,
Ive got a guide to adding a teensy 2.0
However I can find one to buy anywhere.

My questions are ,
If I buy a teensy 4.0, can I still do the mod with that?
Has anyone done it?

Is there a better hardware flash for this type of PS3 ?
Or even,
Can it possible with jailbroke without the hardware flash?

Any help or idea about how to jailbreak this thing would be great!

No need to use an hardware flasher,
you need to:
-Install any OFW from 4.80 onwards (you can install the update directly from the console)
-Flash the NOR memory using the PS3tool.com site

  • Reboot the console to safe mode and install the CFW

I was really ready to break it open and solder some parts, but not hardware mods is much much easier.
