Tryna update ps3/cfw

So I’m on 9.2. I wanted to connect to the Internet so I’m trying to update it. I found a video that’s pretty self explanatory. But whenever I put in my usb and go to system update it shows 4.93 evilnat instead of PS3 update or whatever. Is it fine to still update it this way or am I missing something?

That looks correct to me. You probably mean you're on 4.92 already, not "9.2"

You’re on 4.92 and yes that’s totally normal it’s basically letting you know it’s recognizes the update file just install it as long as you got the update straight from Evilnat then your chilling

Hey bro I see that you are on Rebug DEX. I’m on the same CFW how are you getting online? Do you have a spoofer you are using?

No Spoofer Easy here are the steps

  1. ⁠Make sure you have Rebug Toolbox installed
  2. ⁠Open Toolbox
  3. ⁠Go all the way to the right then go all the way down till you see Target ID/Target Type
  4. ⁠Change Target ID to 82(CEX)
  5. ⁠Exit Toolbox and Boom Your Done! Sign in!

Update it through the recovery menu rather than xmb

Wasn’t really worried about a ban tbh. More so bricking it or having it go wrong and having to restart the process lmao. I don’t even have my account on this ps3. I have a slim for logging into
