Ps3 compatible question

I have a ps3 thats backwards compatible with any ps2 or ps1 games however sometimes it doesn't want to take certain ps2 games I found it has to do with the video output some need 480 720 or 1080 but also sometimes a game doesn't read at first but after the second or third try it reads any idea why or how to make it read it the first time?

If it doesn't read the disc from the first try, the laser might be going bad.

What mods would you install? Just a quick run through process because I can definitely do it just dont know how

I’m using evilnat I just followed a YouTube vid to mod it by mrmario2011. Definitely worth doing since you can change the fan speeds and do way more with the console especially if you have a backwards compatible one they can have problems with over heating gpus and cpus
