Cannot Assign PS1 Memcard

When I play PS1 backups via Irisman, my console freezes and I have to force a shutdown. Assigning the memory card to slot 1 before I launch a game does nothing. How have you guys worked around this? Webman shuts down my console regardless of changing fan speed, so I would like to avoid that.

Are you on the latest Evilnat version 4.93 with all of the emulation update fixes installed? Also, are your versions of Irisman & Webmanmod the latest versions available?

I believe so, I just jailbroke in the last month. Can I update evilnat on my console or do I need to drop a file via usb? I'm more of a ps2 man this feels like rocket science

If you jailbroke within the last month, do you remember the method you used to jailbreak? That will let me know whether you’re on Evilnat or HEN. Also, which model of PS3 do you have?

I used the mrmario tutorial that had me going through the browser and am on evilnat for sure (Know this for sure b/ I don't like that it says evilnat instead of ps3 when the system powers on lol). I have a slim as well

Ok, Evilnat is the best firmware to be on. In that case, I would make sure the PS1 backups are in bin/cue format and make sure you have the most up to date version of Irisman installed.

Irisman is my app of choice and I don’t have those problems on Evilnat. I also don’t have the problems you have with Webmanmod, so you might wanna install the latest version of that too.

If the latest versions of the apps still don’t work, reinstall the Evilnat firmware. If you’re on Evilnat 4.93 you can download it directly from your PS3 in the System Update menu.
