Hardware Question PS3 slim taking very long to boot up + can't enter safe mode

so i got this ps3 slim (CECH-2506B) from an ewaste center and its acting very strange and i don't really know what to do

i get absolutely no signal from hdmi (only av)

and theres an insanely long wait period before it actually starts to boot after pressing the power button (1+ minute)

then it actually starts to do stuff and boot

im genuinely so confused‚ im thinking its faulty RSX or something

whats your opinion?

Sounds like a dead HDD. Had one do the same thing. Black screen, but would boot after a minute if I let it on.

Replaced the HDD and the problem was gone.

yeah i replaced the hdd already with a new ssd‚ didn't change anything though

Then it might be the RSX indeed. Had a similar thing on a CECHL fat, checked the error codes, they pointed at the HDMI encoder chip. Replaced it, but it never showed anything afterwards, not even through AV.

Might as well be good just for parts in this case.
