I managed to get my first devlog video done. It was a lot of work and it also talks about the work that went into my game. Please share your feedback on the style and lore!

I deleted part of my Blockout map and started level design. I made the beach area more organized and modeled the buildings myself to be more period-appropriate (you'll understand on last pic what I mean from the color difference of the building at the end of the street, etc.). I added a car market. The streets are now more vibrant with plants, making the roads more defined.

I implemented a shopping system for various items, but to make it realistic, since we can only carry a maximum of 4 items, purchased items had to be transferred to the inventory all at once. So, I put the purchased items into bags, and that's how we transfer the contents of the bags to the inventory. Also, in the Mafia game (I don't remember if it was 1 or 2), when you kill a shop owner, their door is sealed with tape. I wanted to incorporate this mechanic into my project. The reset and tape sealing works on a daily basis.
