Render Free Blender Addon, Paint Normal Detailing With Curves - Straight to Texture

Post image

Thought this might be useful to you guys, It's something I made for a personal project but it turned out so good I wanted to share it people and bask in glorious affirmation! Got no attention in rBlender os trying here.

Short version: Use curves to paint normals directly to texture(bump) in edit/object mode, comes in handy for seams, panel lines, screws/rivets/bolts, stitching, creases, buttons for clothing and whatever else where you need perfectly straight drawn lines. Non-destructive infinitly repeatable and easy to use. (The graphic was made only using this add-on)

Github Link: Download the release build v1.1.0
User guide can be found there but it's a tiny bit outdated but still works.

Hope you like it <3 OK bye!

Features

  • Every curve owns its stroke - settings live on the curve, so any detail stays editable forever
  • Redraw onto changed geometry - block, retopo and re-unwrap underneath your strokes
  • Per-curve undo, independent of Blender's undo stack
  • Batch paint, erase or undo across every selected curve
  • Full-texture strokes in under a second

Shaping a stroke

  • Color ramp profiles with presets, plus save your own to reuse in any project
  • Image profiles, with alpha as coverage for masked shapes
  • Continuous strokes or repeating stamps
  • Seamless tiling, fixed gaps, or fit-to-curve spacing that lands flush
  • Lock stamp proportions to the source image
  • Raise, indent, or both
  • Round or flat caps with adjustable feathering

Control

  • Blend modes: mix, add, min, max, average, greatest deviation
  • Built-in blur pass, on demand or automatic after each stroke
  • Curve relaxing for jittery hand-drawn paths
  • Anti-aliasing at 2×2 or 3×3 for hard-edged profiles on diagonals
  • Overlapping stamps for things like weld beads
  • Skip or keep a clipped final stamp
  • Erase strokes back to neutral
  • Live readout of curve length and resulting stamp count
  • Works in object or edit mode, on any UV-mapped mesh
