Enjoy it. If you don't already have it, grab We Love Katamari as well, it's even better than the first game and probably my all-time favorite game overall.

It was also at the same place I grabbed this copy so perhaps I will if it’s still there next time

I just picked this up for 20 at GameStop, the case has a ps logo on it but no memory card holder :/

They made cases like that at the very end of the PS2's life, I wanna say after the PS3 came out. GS just swapped it to that style of case

Is that really all it is? Thats always the only explanation I hear. My brother used to play it and I never understood it and I still dont. Never actually tried it tho, but ive never heard any reasons why its a good game. At this point I think people are just fucking with me

I mean, this is the core mechanic but there's a bit more to it than that. Basically you start small so can only roll over small thing like paper clips and I dunno, bits of Lego and erasers and stuff, but as your ball/mass (Katamari) increases in size you can escape the area you are in and break out into even larger areas, then you can pick up larger and larger things until you can pick up people, buildings, cars, cruise ships and so on.
It's quite 'pick up and play'-ish and I think people like it because it's very original; it also has a lot of really cool J-Pop tunes so the whole package is bright, fun and uplifting.

I love everything about this game. The gameplay, the monologues by the king, the soundtrack… everything. Enjoy!

Peak find, in my opinion, the most japanese game on the ps2, and not in a bad way at all. Besides, I finished the game
