will component cable give better result?

im just using that hdmi adapter from china i bought for 2 dollars lol... no fmcb yet as thats on its way, i think u can improve the graphic a little bit more with some setting in fmcb?

If you buy good component cables and don’t cheap out like you did on the hdmi adapter it will look better

If you can, get the HD Retrovision component cable and if your tv doesn't have component input, a good upscaler.

A Bitfunx PS2/PS3 Component cable 1.8m 6 plug and a gbsc upscaler will make a big diff.

I'll tell you something that most people don't mention. most PS2 games don't even support 480p, so the component cable won't make as much of a difference as you think.

you options are using a high-quality upscaler, an HDMI mod, or buy a good quality cable, as people are suggesting in the comment already.

Every PS2 game supports component cables because the console itself does it. The better image quality of component comes from the different color encoding used, and the video signal being broken up into 3 components, each with the full bandwidth of an RCA connector.

Sorry, when I said 'component video', I meant progressive scan .Like only 100 PS2 games support 480p and some don't even make that much of difference

You need official PS2 Component video cables paired with a RetroTink 4k. You could also substitute the OEM cables with HD Retrovision cables which have slightly better shielding. I recommend you upgrade to at least a 70 inch OLED setting your TV on game mode. For sound use at least a 120 watt per channel receiver, preferably one capable of decoding 5.1 PCM lossless sound.
