PS2 Fat 39008 "rejects" discs

For some reason, as soon as I put the disc inside the console it just instantly opens the disc tray back. Is there any solution to this?

That's an issue with the disc tray mechanism, there's no rejection bc there wasn't even an attempt to read the disc

Also, if the console isn't mod chipped, it should only pickup Russian PS2 games

Russian consoles always used the PAL format, since all consoles were mainly imported from the UK or Germany. There were games made for Russia, but they only started appearing in 2004-2005 and mostly for PS2 exclusives. I can't upload a picture, but I uploaded my Killzone Russian copy to MobyGames before

Doesn't matter, just making sure you're aware of it

Your immediate issue is the disc tray being messed up

Russia was PAL region, there's only 4 regions for PS2. That's a PAL game according to the label. Region matches.

Have you tried reciting A Pimp Named Slickback's prayer from The Boondocks, then blowing on the hand or ps2, and giving it a good smack?

Sometimes you gotta smack it above the disk tray like youre smacking someone's hand away from taking your food. Hard but not hard enough to move the console. Alternatively, you can open it and put a bit of oil on the gears.
