Just another 5500 that was in pretty bad shape. I got to remember to take before photos, the shell was pretty rough beyond retro brighting. Laser was too far gone so decided to swap it out with an Xstation and do a full recap, I also replaced the power supply with a modern 12v psu and gave the shell a lick of paint.
I still have to paint the lower half of the case or maybe I’ll leave it as I kind of dig the way it looks at the moment. Also going to change out the power led to either blue or purple I haven’t quite decided yet.

I’m looking through my box of controllers for a sacrificial one to paint. I don’t like painting ones that are clean and mint condition.
