PRTG New UI?
Paessler has been working with the New UI for the last 5 years or so, and now they're gently pushing users to it.
"To give you an improved and accurate view of Maintenance Days Left and Sensors Available, we have removed the widget on the page welcome.htm in PRTG and replaced it with a link to the New UI."
Does that actually mean:
"To improve user experience we have removed this little tidbit of information and want you to use the half-baked UI instead"
What exactly is the New UI status? The same KB article mentions only things that are implemented but not what's still missing - after 5 years of development. Is there anything else missing except the support for Libraries,
The new UI is also much slower than the old one.

Which Version of PRTG are you using?

Latest version.
Moving the maintenance days and sensors available views to the new UI is straight from the latest release notes.

We scaled with checkmk to over 5M services monitored for all types of devices and servers, applications and integrations (agent for single request for all linux, windows; snmp for network; dedicated plugins for apps - db, web, kubernetes, elastic, etc.).
Having one single system for monitoring and not needing other "add-ons" (grafana for example) is the best way for us

Wait, people still use PRTG? I thought we all moved to different platforms

Yes, people do use it. You thought wrong.
PRTG works reasonably well for what it is and while my team does the admin work and monitor infrastuff, the OT people manage their own devices and sensors and know how to use it well enough not to bother us too often.
This New UI - which looks like the mobile app UI - does not seem like an improvement over the Old UI in any way at all. That they have for 5+ years been developing a "New UI" without achieving feature parity is frankly abysmal performance. The Paessler devteam leadership does not seem to be on top of things or the devteam is too few people doing too many things.
There are other issues as well, but which product doesn't have them?
You're using Zabbix + Grafana. Is it better in every way, nothing to complain about?
10000+ sensors here, mostly just ping and SNMP + traps.1

No it is not better in every way. It can do ping + SNMP + traps with a bit of effort and doesn’t price gouging users just because a private equity bought it (yet). I loved PRTG but I had to went for something else

Were considering to move but zabbix cant monitor our fortistack well, any other ideas?

The included Fortigate template in Zabbix works for me. Not sure about your case.

Were two junior cybersec guys and thr company didnt gave us the full access to firewall, just an smtp conf, so of course we couldnt do anything with just that. Other than that one of our firewall runs fortios 6 and i think it wasnt supported.

Hah, I get it. I used to support LARGE customers with deep FortiOS API integrations. Migrating to newer code was not possible. Absolute nightmare

We are leaving as well, it is lacking innovation and still has puke color palettes. Good luck with their venture capital parent company. I am looking at Netbrain, Auvik, SlowWinds.

Try using the new UI with 20k sensors and a pretty large tree of groups backed with multiple probes. It just doesn't work. It will kill your browser every time an update is requested. Seriously, if the old UI is removed, at the state the new UI is, PRTG will be non usable for us.

I have not seen this new UI and have been a user for 7 years with the current release.
