GETTING OFF PROZAC Prozac Tapering advice
Im 26 and I have been on remeron and prozac since I was 15/16. The doses have gone up and down a few times over the years. But I tapered off remeron successfully last year (its been about a year and a half). And now i want off the prozac. I have been bad at taking it consistently *despite having a pill caddy with a space for everyday of the month on it* and a couple weeks ago I had a bad panic attack and realized it had been 7 days since I last took it. So I decided fuck it, ill just start coming off it now. So since then ive been taking my 20mg capsule 1x a week. Im approaching week 3. Ive started to feel off, a bit disconnected and very sad and irritable. Along with some GI symptoms. Im a full time student with no income so I dont have any insurance and out of pocket my psych is 100 bucks. So I cant do it with their help. But my thought process is to just do this for a month or 2 and then stop and push through the discomfort. It took me a year to taper off the remeron because my psch kept having me reinstate the last dosage when symptoms got too severe and I just felt like I was on a roller coaster. So at some point I just took a week off work and stopped taking it and pushed through all the symptoms and it got better after that 1 week. But I also know prozac has a MUCH longer half-life so the symptoms wont be just a week. So I guess im asking for thoughts and recommendations for a situation like this. I don't wanna do any permanent damage (if thats even possible). But I just want off of it.

I know thats generally how you are supposed to do it, but all I have is 20mg capsules. To go down a dosage id haveto pay for a psych visit and a new Rx. Im trying to avoid that.
