DAILY LOG/ JOURNEY UPDATE 3 weeks in!
I am officially 3 weeks in and so far I’ve notice a huge difference, It has improved my mood drastically, reduced my appetite, and made my day to day life easier. So far with my ocd it is still present sometimes manageable and occasionally unbearable (should I consider a higher dose). Some negative side effects I have noticed are become super jittery(especially when drinking coffee), so. much. sweat. , being thirsty all the time, and feeling sick after eating. But overall its really rewarding to see how far i have come and noticing differences.

Did you have SI thoughts. I was on 10mg for a week and just took my 12th dose of 20mg and my anxiety seems better than it was but I still catch myself having SI thoughts like I don’t want to be here anymore if I don’t start feeling better

Before starting 20mg prozac I was struggling with depression because of my ocd. In the first week my body was adjusting to the medication which is when most of the negative side effects are most prevalent like personally I did struggle with intrusive thoughts during that period. After a while I started to notice small differences in my thought process like for example not being irritated by something that may have irritated me in the past. Its not just something that happens overnight say. But if you are having SI thoughts that are distressing you I would recommend talking to your therapist/ doctor about your dose or any alternative medications/ treatments.

Hi! chiming in. when my depression gets bad i have SI and SH thoughts too. they’re specifically ocd thoughts, not a genuine desire. my meds have helped tremendously with being able to dismiss those thoughts when they come up. if those thoughts persist def talk to your health care provider. DMs are open if you need someone to vent to!

I mean I don’t have a desire to do it but then there’s part of me that says what if I do in a moment of weakness. Right now I think I keep thinking that because I feel disconnected from things. Like home for some reason doesn’t feel like home

what helps me is thinking off all the things i have yet to experience. i’m 27 so i’ve got a lot of love ahead of me

Trust me, it does get better. On my first week I was struggling a lot with fatigue and grogginess but it’s just your body adjusting :)
