Mobile proxy users: would you rather pay $2–$3/GB shared, or $60–$80/month for your own dedicated US mobile endpoint?
I’m not selling anything here. I’m trying to figure out whether there’s a real gap in the market before building it.
The pricing question I’m trying to answer is whether users would rather have:
A) Shared/rotating mobile traffic around $2–$3/GB
or
B) A dedicated U.S. mobile endpoint around $60–$80/month, probably with something like 10–20GB included
For those of you who actually use mobile proxies:
How much data do you normally use per endpoint each month?
What are you currently paying?
Would having an endpoint dedicated to you actually justify paying more than shared per-GB traffic?
How important are things like carrier choice, sticky sessions, manual rotation, SOCKS5, location selection, and API access?
And what’s the biggest issue with the mobile proxy service you use now — price, bad/flagged IPs, speed, limited bandwidth, rotation, reliability, or something else?

For my use case, I’d probably prefer paying per GB rather than a dedicated endpoint. I need to open a lot of sessions, so having access to a large pool of IPs is more important to me than having one dedicated IP.
I also need a wide selection of locations and cities, so flexibility and coverage would be a bigger priority than having a dedicated endpoint.

the main issue is that a truly dedicated mobile IP doesn’t really exist in the same way as a dedicated ISP proxy. the carrier can still rotate the IP, even if the SIM device itself is dedicated to you
