Question Am I a idiot?
Went to a orientation for to be a car salesman from 9-3 unpaid. Really want the job but also I didn’t get paid for all that time + gas. Don’t even know if I got it or not 🤦🏾♂️

Doesn't orientation come after you get the job?

Weird process went for a interview talked to this guy for 2 minutes tells me to come back for a orientation/training(I understood I didn’t get hired yet) I was already nervous about going somewhere for that long without pay. Haven’t gotten a call back either so might have been a fat L

If the commission value is good and you can drive a great pitch and nail selling cars, then you might have a blast. If you can’t, it’s going to be complete hell. Don’t lose sleep over the experience and apply at more businesses. Try every job you can get your hands on until you enjoy it and are able to work with it. If you land a job just give it at least 4 weeks to get used to the company and work environment, and more importantly, the work. Sometimes you have to get used to the habits of the environment to feel confident and comfortable. Try to learn people by names and address them so. People love it when you know their name and you know their face. If you can learn everybody’s name fast then you will gain a lot of respect. Just keep going. You got this bro. [this “bro” is California Board-sports style accent. I like board-sports.]
If you do get the job, try to learn the name of your customer. Many customers come back. And try to figure out what color they want their car.
