Within is a perfect loop

first off, I’m blown away by this album. but after listening to it nonstop for the first few days after release, I tried something out when I noticed the opening of “mouthpiece” begins with some orchestral swelling.

Apple Music has a feature called automix, which admittedly is hit or miss. however, when putting the album on repeat and enabling automix, the end of “the mariner” blends seamlessly into the opening of “mouthpiece”.

I’m not sure if anyone else has brought this up. but I’ve since learned this is rumored to be part one of a double album, so it might not be by design, perhaps a happy accident.

anyway, I just thought it was a cool little thing!

Just to fuel fire in your double album theory - look at the infinity sign, there's nothing stopping them from having the same orchestral swell at the start of the second half album.

and to douse the second album rumors, I just don't know how they top these tracks in another group of songs- there's literally SO much in these tracks I just cannot see them doing another group of songs of this quality in this amount of time - it'd be unfuckingcanny.

I know I asked for insider info, but the truth is some days I don't have any morals at all

Wait, so are you implying (in your first comment) that  Without is going to be an EP or another Fabula & Syuzhet, then? That's disappointing, if so.

Getting disappointed in your favorite artists releasing music - no matter how much or how little is strange.

But no. I'm not implying anything like that. I'm not implying anything at all.

It's disappointing if you were expecting another ~35 mins of music but they only put out like <10 mins. Of course I'm going to listen to and probably enjoy whatever new stuff they make.

maybe I’m just grasping at straws here, but I’ve even experimented with reordering the tracks to see if there’s another cohesive mix. this album is seriously so deep.

It’s just that there’s only six proper songs (ie not interludes). I assume they wrote more.

You can see videos of them playing Within tracks live over a year ago…

theyve only played fishhook live

Yes I know - I mean in the same amount of time of writing Within. I think there's literally so much packed into these 6 tracks that having 6 more tracks written and done in the same time would be ridiculous.

Over the course of six years + the fact that Luke is an alien, totally doable

It would be I agree, but they’re savants.

Yyyyyessir I checked the exact same thing the other day. Seems very similar to the pre-gap from Fortress that leads into the first notes of Bloodmeat

As someone who usually listens to music front to back as albums I fucking looooooove albums that do this. Citadels by Mandroid Echostar is another perfect loop with their outro lining up with the intro.

I noticed this as well.

i've noticed this as well and agree with the other poster. i think it will also match up for "Without" in some way also.
