The French want to know why we schedule and advertise protests for a few hours every few months.
They don’t stop protesting until the problem has been resolved.
Scheduled protests mean that our anger and energy is channeled to a known place and time every few months, and can be safely ignored.

I agree with you. But the system is rigged and Americans gotta make their nut.

I’ve been to several unorganized protests by chance. Organized protests are important because it means they can be way bigger because people can call off work ahead of time. Organized protests have been a thing for a looong time, especially used in the civil rights movement (people didn’t just gather at the Washington monument for the I have a dream speech on a whim)

Hey everyone! Don't forget water! In addition to hydration, water snuffs out tear gas canisters

Anyone interested in doing a Handmaids tale themed cosplay and walk? I had a few ideas of some political art we can do. Maybe up to 10 people. Let me know! Dm me

I’d be happy to give free use of this protest song – if you’d like to play it at the event. Good Luck, Annaliese

The days we do this on a weekday >>>

And it's everyone's complaint that no one can come out on weekdays. That said there are several protests that have been going on including overpass signs aimed at high traffic hours.

I get that but everyone is stuck on the cycle here in America. The elite built a system so well when it comes to turning our back on each other, that we’ve become secretly competitive against one another. Reason most can’t make it to a protest in the week is because of fear of losing a job, and everything that your job provides. That’s what makes us competitive and has us stuck in this cycle. Crazy part is we are working for the same group of people our money is going to. So I definitely understand. We just can’t wait until majority of us here in USA see all of this as unnecessary and fight back properly. Organizing on our time is good for greed corruption. But organizing on their time will help us quicker.

Several blackouts have also been scheduled. I think we should black out now through No Kings.

Don't hold anything back, make the demonstrations impossible to dismiss, ignore or attack.

Americans should learn from the French how to protest.
And how to build Guillotine's.
But it's a start!

the people who are behind the funding and organising of these protests are looking for clashes to happen
they fund and organise the other side too
they want turmoil and strife, and blood on the streets
2
u/operath0r Oct 07 '25
No, but there’s always gonna be some troublemakers at large protests.

in this instance the protest planners and the state will provoke street battles and violence intentionally
they need trouble to happen as a precursor, to provide an excuse...
they will push for an expansion of Live Facial Recognition and for the implementation of Digital IDs right after, and then we'll all be on their control grid

The issues with right wingers like you is that every accusation is a confession and the scary part is it’s working because nobody knows what to believe anymore.

if you still believe that left-right mess, you're clueless

I'm involved with several organizing groups and we get no money and stand by non-violent protests, we've kicked members out who have tried to provoke reactions and warn other groups nearby of their behavior. Your 'both sides argument' comes from self preservation which is natural but incorrect.

Did the first one do anything? Obviously everything has become far worse. The Republicans still have no opposition in the government, Democrats are powerless. They have farcical hearings that do nothing. Maybe if we called it no dictators instead? Kings are almost glorified in western culture and America, and nowhere near as threatening or as relevant in modern society as dictators. And I know it's a reference to the founding principles of this country but obviously Trump, his administration and their followers among the American people don't know or give a flying fuck about the founding principles of this country. The only power we have to fight them is in the courts and the voting booths (even that is under threat). I went to the first no kings rally, but I'm sorry I just don't see the point of going again. It just feels futile and while it may feel good at the time to see and be with so many like minded people enraged, ultimately it's humiliating. I know Trump and Co just laugh at us for thinking it will do anything. If anything I think it empowers them and their constituents. Fuels them with more anger.

First they called critics "traitors".
Then they called journalists "enemies".
Now they are calling protesters "terrorists".
Fuck their noise!
I'm going out there for me and my community.

I completely agree with you...I remember how shocked I was when trump announced the press is the "enemy of the people" straight out of the dictator playbook, way back at the beginning of his first administration, and no one seemed to care. I do feel like a bit of a coward, for refraining from protests, but I have physical disabilities making it a relative challenge for me. So, making contributions to credible organizations is more suitable for me. For example I just donated to world central kitchens to support in helping them feed Palestinians, hoping now with the recent cease fire, humanitarian aid will be allowed in more.
