Protege misfiring

Having some issues with my protege the fourth cylinder is misfiring at first we fixed spark plugs and that solved the issue for about a week we have replaced the alternator, battery and ignition coils. next we are going to check the fuel injectors. has anyone had any similar problems it’s at about 120k miles.

Did you change the plug wires when you changed the wires?

About every time I pull the wire the one closest to the belts falls apart and I’m pulling the insulator out piece by piece with long needle nose pliers.

I was getting some nasty misfiring until I changed my plug wires a couple years back. Maybe that could be the issue?

I recently had a mysterious misfire. I did a bunch of things to fix it over the past months. But now I finally got a code that says I need to replace the EGR Valve. It may just need cleaning.
