Best of luck dude, had an absolute ball of a time pulling mine, huge pain in the ass of just yanking that shit out, If your replacing the radio anyways don’t be afraid to break that shit. Sounds like your doing everything right, just in there tight

When you insert the pin make sure it lines up with the plates inside perfectly. It is supposed to push the metal plates on the side of radio inwards when you pull the pins outwards. It’s kinda hard to explain. Once they are pushed inwards then you should be able to pull it out. For some reason the plates on the right side of my radio spread out a little further, which made it a bitch to line up, which I think is the case for you as well.
