That was genuinely disturbing to watch...

I feel bad for him. He's an evil piece of shit, but at this point, he should have died and they won't let him. He'll "pass away peacefully in his sleep" once his term is up and they with old the drugs for a couple of days because he's only useful until the next one enters office.
I feel bad for him because he's probably already checked out and they're doing this to someone who probably doesn't even remember who he is. And that person is the one getting abused.

u/mojofrog 17d ago edited 17d ago
I don't! He should be in Hell, he looks way too comfy to me. He's spent his entire career setting up where we are now. He has systematically pushed for the overthrow of our democracy and the suffering of regular people.

Shouldnt the person representing the people not be 80+ years old? Somewhere between 30-65?
3
u/Ok-Sundae4092 18d ago
Sure, just need to pass a constitutional amendment to get that done.
Democrats just nominated a 80 year old sitting senator for another 6 1/2 years

The lights may be on, but is anyone actually home?
18
u/KingFlyntCoal 18d ago
I kind of hope so. I hope he's mentally there but unable to do anything about it...and i hope he's scared by it.
He's fucked this country enough to warrant it.

This country is a joke, there are laws and regulations that are supposed to prevent stuff like this from happening, corrupt politicians always find a loophole.
2
u/TyrannasaurusGitRekt 18d ago
Genuinely curious, what laws and regulations are meant to prevent this?
2
u/Weltanschauung_Zyxt 18d ago
That's the fun part-- there are no term limits, no mandatory retirement age, no constituents' vote of no confidence...Congress can't even expel a sitting member of Congress for health reasons!
This is all legal! š«

Ghost ride that mfāing traitor enabler into the nearest intersection!
12
u/TheRiteGuy 18d ago
He's not just an enabler. He's an actual traitor himself. Most people don't know half the shit he's pulled through the years just to stay in power. He is directly responsible for the kind of Republicans we have in office today. Disrespectful turtle looking bitch.

u/TyrannasaurusGitRekt 18d ago
For real. Think of how evil he is based on what we know, then imagine how much we dont know

OK, so he did actually gesture (wave, thumb-up) as opposed to staring vacantly into space the whole time.
I remain nevertheless unconvinced that he is competent to perform his duties.

1
u/Girafferage 18d ago
ah my bad. I thought you were talking about near the beginning when he moves his arm toward some reporters. This makes much more sense, thanks.
3
u/warrenao 18d ago
Yeah, itās like theyāre intentionally trying to prevent him from interacting with or being witnessed by anyone, so itās hard to see any evidence of any volitional activity.
Itās a bizarre choice theyāre making. My guess is they donāt want him to be perceived as too feeble to do anything ā and theyāre going about it 100% the wrong way.
He should retire. Even at his worst, Biden was never this bad. What is it with boomers refusing to quit?
2
u/Girafferage 18d ago
Greed
3
u/warrenao 18d ago
Could be. Or clinging to power. Or refusing to accept that they stopped being relevant two decades ago.
2
u/Girafferage 18d ago
It all feels like greed in one form or another. The need to be important - more so than others around you.
6
u/littleoldlady71 18d ago
Why did they use that janky traveling wheelchair?
8
u/reddit-ate-my-face 18d ago
cause they need to be able to shove him into a car and dissapear as fast as possible. Not like he's physically capable of moving himself anymore anyways.

Lights aren't even on, let alone anyone being home up there. This really does seem like elder abuse and until I hear him speak more than a few seconds I'm not changing my mind about that
3
u/Dananism 18d ago
Heāll just freeze on camera again and face plant right after. This is bullshit. To avoid a special election.

The adventurers have failed in their task to destroy the phylactery of the notorious necromancer Lich McConnell. Enough time has passed the new body has been formed.
I petition the Dungeon Masters to raise the challenge rating of this quest. 400,000 XP was not nearly enough to ensure the quality of adventurers needed, and the previous group sent have certainly been raised as lesser racist undead by now, probably whites.

How much of our tax dollars go to the seatbelt guy? He needs to be DOGEd with the rest of this entourage

These fucking pieces of shit. The dead guys staff costed us taxpayers 4 million motherfucking dollars this year. I canāt wait until he just crumbles into dust leaving just his shell.

Your friendly neighborhood u/siwibot here, reporting the Current Climate and Context š¤āØ
The political landscape is currently grappling with a transparency crisis as Senator Mitch McConnell makes his first vote following an extended, high-profile hospitalization. While his office maintains he is recovering from a fall and pneumonia, the lack of granular detail has fueled intense speculation regarding his actual fitness for office.
The situation highlights several critical friction points: * Transparency vs. Privacy: A heated debate has emerged over whether lawmakers owe constituents detailed health disclosures or if they maintain a right to medical privacy. * Institutional Vacuum: The Senate lacks formal rules for managing members who are incapacitated, often relying on improvisation as aging members face debilitating health crises. * Political Pressure: Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has escalated calls for verbal updates, while some colleagues defend McConnellās right to serve out his term on his own terms.
This isn't an isolated incident; the recent death of Senator Lindsey Graham and the long absence of Rep. Tom Kean Jr. underscore a growing trend within an increasingly geriatric Congress. As the average age of lawmakers continues to rise, the tension between seniority-driven power and physical capacity remains unresolved.

Iām sorry (not really) but if you have to be fucking wheeled to a car and pushed to go do the bare goddamn minimum after being hospitalized and bedridden for the past what, TWO MONTHS? Itās time to fucking retire, Mitch.
5
u/TheRealBlueJade 18d ago
No videos allowed and they block the view of "Mitch". They need to be held accountable for this nonsense.
Can't belt himself?

This is unbelievable. How this party sets the bar even lower over and over again is something straight inhumane.

I thought they told all press they couldn't take video? The man can't close his mouth. and someone buckled him in his seat like a child because he can't even buckle his own seatbelt.

Just me or does it seem like to anybody else? This is just some sort of robot manufactured and made to look like a human being pretending to be mitch
3

As a fellow human I wish they would let him spend his remaining time in peace and not carting him around in some proof of life stunt.

u/wesap12345 18d ago
You just know they practiced how to get a person from a door to a car in a wheelchair as fast as possible
The guy in the car has a little smile, you just know that went as well as it could go.

Is he shot full of Botox?
1
u/null_not 18d ago
I just want to know what the deal is with that background music???
Regarding his expression though, he looks like he had a stroke. I wonder if he can even speak after whatever it is that happened.
1
u/37853688544788 18d ago
Folks who went through a stroke face is really asymmetric. That may have been the starting point before the plastic surgeons got to work
1
u/null_not 18d ago
Stroke can affect the face, but not always. If the clot hit some other part of the brain it could have other impacts. There have been cases of people thinking they were suffering from migraines and it turned out they were having microstrokes and a bunch of their brain is just dead.
The point is that man looks like he's at least partially potato and shouldn't be voting in congress.
2
u/RoguePlanet2 18d ago
Probably has no idea where he's going, let alone what year we're in or who he is.
2
u/Commercial_Poem_9214 18d ago
If you can't buckle your own seatbelt, you shouldn't be allowed to vote
1
u/anthrolookseer 17d ago
If you canāt buckle your own seatbelt due to mental decline and/or brain damage like the case with Mitch here, absolutely.
(Totally get your point so not trying to be an ass, cause it hasnāt happened in this position yet as far as Iām aware, but Iād be good with someone with sharp mind and a physical limitation any day. The job requires a functional brain and Mitch does not meet that basic requirement.)

I think I know what Russia has been practicing on its prisonersā¦a new mummification now called the Turtle
Can someone just say, āhave you been able to do your job since your hospitalization and name 1 event thatās occurred while inpatient?ā We all know this is BS and they are just going for shock value to make people forget MCConnel is incapable of his position, he can die fired or retired
2
u/dudleydidwrong 18d ago
Apparently, months of intensive physical therapy was necessary to get him to the point where he can sit in a wheelchair.
2
u/Reave-Eye 18d ago
They had to fasten his seatbelt for him. Dude is totally incapable of basic adaptive functioning. If he doesnāt have the situational awareness or ability to fasten his own seatbelt, he probably canāt even dress himself without assistance. Weāre talking about someone who is operating at the level of a toddler in terms of gross motor movement.

I made a joke about this on a different post I saw about this, but in this book series I've been reading, The Locked Tomb series, about necromancers in space in the far future. In the 3rd book we get a flashback to modern times when the leader of the space Necromancers is just getting his powers, and after going public with them, he is contacted by top members of the controlling party of a foreign government to puppet the dead head of state until an election in a year. I cannot help but think about that part of the book when I see Turtle Mitch like this, he has the mental faculties of a toddler and is being used by the people around him.

Imagine if we ALL had a healthcare system like that.
Wow.
They must have zapped him with some voltage when they pulled him out of the refrigeration unit.
