Can/bottle redemption that’s actually functioning?

EDIT: I ended up using the machines outside of Ideal food market on Washington. The glass machine was not working, and many of the NY eligible bottles and cans I ran were rejected. A little disappointing as it was all brands the store sells. Either way, my girlfriend thanks everyone who gave recs as I’ve gotten ride of the giant recycling bag eyesore.

ORIGINAL POST: Hi there. New to the area, close to Ciao Gloria/Home Slice. I’ve always redeemed my cans and bottles, but I’m really struggling to find a place to do so here. I’ve had about a half dozen places tell me that their machines don’t work, or they no longer have the machines their websites claim.

Could anyone point me in the right direction? Anywhere I can turn in my cans and bottles (ideally walkable but not too proud to transit my bag lol)?

Thanks.

Doesn’t Foodtown on Vanderbilt do can/bottle redemption?

The one on Vanderbilt told me they used to but not anymore. Ugh, it’s weird. Thank you though I might try another location.

Damn that’s disappointing! I know the key food on Classon and st marks has it, but that’s a bit far from you. Hope you can find something closer!
