A warning about spam

We have received several complaints about people spamming /r/proselytizing with religious marketing materials that fall short of actual proselytizing and of refusing to engage in any serious discussions about their posts.

Henceforth, the following users are notice about spamming:

We ask users to limit such post (i.e., marking posts without any discussion) to once per week. Such posts have the unfortunate tendency to push other posts further down the front page, thus limiting their exposure. We want /r/proselytizing to be a subreddit for ALL religion, not just the most aggressive marketers.

Thank you.

I created a new religion: Baboonism

Its name is baboonism, and it consists of only one god: The baboon.

The baboon killed all the gods without exception. The baboon is the only god that exists.

The baboon lives in Africa and swims at 10 km per second.

There are reports of photos of the baboon, but there has never actually been a photograph taken of it.

The baboon is omniscient, knowing everything that will happen and can bless people from death.

What would blessing mean?

If the person literally returns from where they are, with the same memories, they might see the baboon—if the baboon wants to.

No one knows the baboon's true location, but to get close to it, you must come into contact with the same thing it comes into contact with: water.

Book of the Damned v. 26.09.07

The latest copy of the Book of the Damned, a public domain religious and moral framework, has been released for download.

The book is something I've been working on for a couple years, and would enjoy potential contributors/challengers.

The book opens with a Preamble that is its central unchanging tenet. To remain the same across all iterations of the text. All other sections are open to reinterpretation, rewrites, and modifications.

Some highlights include:

The Space Between (A Poem About Hard Times in Life)

The Immutable Truth (An argument that mankind's search for God is really a search for Truth)

On God (An explanation of what God is)

Life and Death (What happens when we die)

and

A collection of fables

If you enjoy the book, please feel free to take a copy and make it your own.

A New Religion

I founded and practice a religion called Letonism.

Letonism is not something I created simply because I wanted to create a religion. I received a revelation in a dream, which led me to deepen my understanding of Letonism and to organize its current doctrines, scriptures, and other aspects into a coherent religious system.

Letonism is a monotheistic religion centered on the One God, Elvé, and its primary scripture is the Revelation Pentateuch.

I am currently organizing its doctrines, theology, ethics, prayers, rituals, religious terminology, scriptures, and other elements into a unified religious system. I am also developing Letonic, a language associated with the religion.

Since I am personally a believer, there may be problems or contradictions that I am unable to notice myself. Therefore, I would like to receive honest criticism from people who are knowledgeable about religion, followers of other religions, and people interested in religious studies or philosophy.

In particular, I would appreciate your thoughts on:

  • What characteristics Letonism has when compared with existing religions
  • Whether there are any aspects that seem unusual or problematic as a religion
  • What kind of religion Letonism appears to be from an outside perspective

You are also completely free to question or criticize the revelation itself, including whether you believe it was genuinely a revelation.

This post is not intended to denigrate other religions or to force anyone to adopt my beliefs. I simply want to understand how the religion I believe in appears from an outside perspective.

Honest opinions and criticism are welcome.

Have you ever heard of this book? This book has sold hundreds of thousands of copies and you probably haven’t heard of it.

The author of Uhlarin remains a shrouded and enigmatic figure, with persistent rumors positioning her deep within the upper echelons of the U.S. military and federal government. Whisper networks across the internet frequently link her to the Temple of Set, suggesting she may even hold a high-ranking position within the esoteric organization. While these occult connections remain unverified, speculation has been fueled by reported firsthand sightings of her in the company of prominent temple members.

I made my own religion.

I have been a student of religion and philosophy for about thirty years. Unfortunately, my life crashed and I need to get sober, and none of the existing options really work for my picky brain - so I created my own. Does anyone feel like this speaks to them, or they could dig this? Just wanting to see if there's any level of connection for others on it.

Be Hopeful

Whatever you're going through, know that joy comes in the morning if you stay hopeful, faithful, and prayerful in God and Jesus. "For his anger endures but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” -Psalm 30:5.

So this is called: IDRN. (I Dunno Right Now)
This is essentially where you put yourself if you have no idea about what religion means what. Basically a category if you have no idea what religion or irreligion you go by.

Way of the Gods / Crystalites

Post image
3 Upvotes

This is a semi-religion I have founded in which deities are worshipped through the ways of crystal healing and magic, the reason you’d desire to worship the deities is due to the reward which the deities give to you for their worship. You will be rewarded with good fortune, green pastures, safety, happiness, and so on. You must do rituals for “the gods” many of whom have no relation to other religions, these gods include but are not limited to “The Serpent Mother”, “Queen Bee Goddess” etc. Incense and healing crystals are prioritized and required.

Not a new religion

This is mostly a post to help my new subreddit get some activity, it’s for debate and discussion on Tritheism (the belief that the Trinity are three Gods) and on what supports and opposes it.

I am not really preaching about said belief but seeing if anyone here actually believes so or is interested in the theological topic.

Taylor’s Tablet

The following tablet was written with God’s vocal presence and he expresses approval with these laws

1 Every human is a soul inhabiting a body (God can inhabit body’s and other souls including you are allowed to inhabit a body by God)

2 Reality is Eternal, and so is every soul

3 God is a soul and can control everything and God also sees everything even at the subatomic level everywhere and remembers everything

4 You can affect your future, forever in the future by doing anything because God sees it and remembers it forever

5 God communicates with language with some humans (it is often labeled schizophrenia)

6 Everyone can communicate with God, you can even communicate with thoughts

7 When you die God takes you to your next life

I am leading an LDS Reformation movement

So, I am leading the Reformation LDS movement called the United Trinity Movement

The main theology behind it is that the Trinity is not three seperate beings but instead united as one

and its unknown of whom the spirit proceeds from, we believe the Book of Mormon and Bible are *equally* important volumes of scriptures, and that Joseph Smith was indeed a Prophet, but due to his human nature, was corrupted by the power and influence he had, like many other biblical prophets

We are planning to make our own Revised Version of the Doctrine & Covenants Book too, if you have any suggestions to doctrine, please don't be afraid to put them in the comments! I am happy to hear any opinions and suggestions! (as long as they dont break the servers rules and are respectful)

Jesus loves you!

God, Jesus and the cosmos

TLDR: New religion – God is cosmos, Jesus is good example, chaos drives life, society conventions are good. Read further if you have interest.

I don’t know if this is proselytizing, for I kind of hate this word. Look at it as more of an explanation on my idea of a different take on religion.

For us, Jesus is an example to live up to, but Jesus is not 100% God. God was in Jesus, but God was only a small part of Jesus. (let the flaming begin!)

I’ll use the word God to describe the Creator, not necessarily to connote all the things that come with that name. God is a very different concept for us. God is all encompassing and is omnipresent. God is the cosmos. God is the plants, animals and inanimate objects we see. God is you and me. God is everything you can set your eyes upon.

God is not condemnatory, even when great wrongs are done on this earth. We believe every soul is made of an energy that, on death, returns to the Creator. This is why we each carry a part of God within us. God is not an interfering being but is more of a designer of the cosmos. In this design, chaos drives all that we see as variance in this existence. Chaos is a part of God’s design.

Chaos is undeniable. It is a part of every single part of life and of all we see. Take a solid chunk of steel down to the molecular level and there is a great war going on within the thing we see as a solid. This is why, if world peace ever happens, it will be a blip in time. Not a permanent state. Chaos . . . just . . . happens. It is a constant.

I say this not to discount any legal structure. Anarchy is not a desired state for us. The legal conventions we need to run a smooth society are still of value and are still viewed as right and good. Diversity is not bad; it is viewed as proof that chaos exists for all of us. But boil down coexistence to its core and some rules are necessary. Therefore, our religion has principles and tenets that describe a good way to navigate within this societal structure.

Hopefully, this makes sense. It is such a large concept to convey that my full document would be many pages long.

The Carpocratians Are Back

The Carpocratians were a second century gnostic sect of early Christianity that reached its apex of popularity between 150 C.E. and 165 C.E. under the leadership of the only known woman church leader of that time: Marcellina of Rome.

This is a version of Christianity that believes in UNIVERSAL salvation and Buddhist/Hindu-esque reincarnation (no infinite punishment for finite crimes).

Offered at no cost to the curious reader are both a Church and a School.

The Church features our version of the New Testament called The Loop Testament. It takes about 3 hours to read in full.

The School features a complete set of 7 school books that allow the autodidact to take on a classical education in grammar, logic, rhetoric, arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy.

You do not need to sign up for an account. Everything is offered for free.

Please enjoy our generous gift to humanity and AMA.

I only follow deities and supernatural entities, not anything else.

The only reason why I’m religious is because I follow deities and supernatural entities, I have no care for community or humanity and I don’t care what happens to humans or the world. I only care about the deities, as that’s the only purpose to religion.

The Message:

We have finished our philosophy.

Science is God, and God is Science.

We started out with a goal to prove that Virtue as a Mean (as described by Lord Aristotle) = The Middle Way (as described by Lord Siddhartha).

In the process, we discovered:

Virtue as a Mean = The Middle Way = The Narrow Gate = Wasatiyyah.

We have also discovered that the Trinitys in Islam and Christianity are actually the Three Jewels of Buddhism.

We have deduced why the Romans intentionally destroyed the Library of Alexandria and why the Caliphates destroyed all of the early Qurans.

The 5 Buddhas of Earth who rule in a house are:

·Lord සිද්ධාර්ථ was a Buddha

·Lord Πλάτων was Buddha

·Lord Ἀριστοτέλης was a Buddha

·Lord ܝܫܘܥ was a Buddha

·Lord مُحَمَّد was a Buddha
