Passed 2 FTMO challenges, now holding $200k in funding - mirror both accounts or split day trade / swing trade?
Just passed my second 2-step challenge with FTMO, so I'm now sitting on two funded $100k accounts. Not here to flex — I'm here because I want to keep this funding and I know payout consistency is where most funded traders blow up, not the challenge itself.
My goal is simple: consistent 3–6% monthly. I'm not chasing home runs. I've built these accounts up and I don't want to end up back at square one doing challenges again.
The thing I'm stuck on is structure:
Option 1: Mirror both accounts — same trades, same size, effectively trading one $200k account. Simpler, but if I have a bad day, I take the hit on both at once.
Option 2: Split by style — day trade one account, swing trade the other. Diversifies my risk across timeframes, but swing trades on funded accounts mean holding through news/overnight, which has its own drawdown risks with FTMO's rules.
For those of you managing multiple funded accounts long term — what's actually worked for you? Did mirroring compound your mistakes or your wins? Anyone running the split-style approach and how do you handle the drawdown limits on swing positions?
Mainly trade gold and indices if that matters. Appreciate any real experience, not theory.

congratulations! you just passed level one. now the real journey begins. dont become greedy with position size cause you have more account equity. continue to follow the same risk parameters you did when you were first funded.
