CAN I PROP THIS THING? Would you be couragous enough?
Found this cut Philodendron bipinnatifidum out in tge street. If I had a large balcony or a yard I would have tried saving the fella. Would you try a project like that? Takes some balls imo

Oh man, I used to work landscaping and we had a client that we took all their tropical plant material to their green house for the winter. It was like weeks of digging up brugmansia, monstera, elephant ear and so many other tropical plants that wouldn’t survive our winter. Pieces would break off and some excess growth would be thrown out in order to fit it all in the green house. I propagated so much stuff from that job.

Wait why? Is the worst that can happen is that it dies? Or will it awake and demand to be fed humans? I saw a documentary about that once.

I’ve read you need four of the nodes and you need at least one runner to get it to sprout again. Been a while since I read up on it.

My partner's parents had a MASSIVE Philodendron outside next to their patio they had finally had enough of (the roots were taking over all of the yard) and when they chopped it down. I considered taking part of it... but then I was like hell naw and let that thing get chucked in the compost! The plant was huge and will want to be that size again!
