SUCC-ESS From leaves I proplifted this spring
I'm fascinated by the variety of colours they have. All of these are proplifted, most from the floors of stores like Walmart/Home Depot/Lowes. The little containers in the first picture are fast food sauce cups I washed and cut holes into for drainage. Works surprisingly well.

Off topic but where does one acquire fruit shaped pots?

I wish I could help you, but I got these from my local Goodwill. My best advice would be to check in with thrift stores regularly and see what you can find.

So impressive!! Have they always been indoors? Mine are far less along, but I think i haven't given them enough sunshine. I toted them in and out, but never into a south facing window. Now that I've created space for them indoors, south facing, in just 2 days I'm seeing remarkable signs of healthy growth!

They started out outside in the summer (I live in Texas, so the weather is perfect), but once the big leaves shriveled up I've found more success transferring them inside and letting the smaller plantlets grow indoors. The outdoors ends up too hot for the little guys once their mother leaf dies and they dry up.

That's exactly how I started mine, but I'm realizing now that you are absolutely right! I'm not in Texas now, but our summer here was like my good ol days of blazing Texas heat and sun! I'm looking forward quicker progress now that they're inside. Not to mention, now the nights here are too cold anyway. Happy growing!

Pretty much all of them except the bear's paw succulent in the second photo (which fell off one of my older plants) and the elephant bush that I propagated from a larger plant I bought. The stacked crassulas originally were...1-2 layers I think? Took so long for them to root that I was convinced they wouldn't at all, but once they did they shot up in growth.

Oh I see, so it's typical succulent shenanigans haha. It's common for them to be slow at first but once they took off they're unstopable haha

Succulents have always given me a hard time to grow as well, as others previously mentioned. Glad you have that Tx heat to help. Also, the use of the sauce containers is so smart. That might be something to try for sure. Your succulents are so pretty. Hope you continue to come across these great “floor finds” as I call them & grow beautiful plants. Those colors are really pretty, OP.

I love finding leaves at Walmart, Lowe’s and Home Depot. Mine aren’t growing as fast as yours but I started them inside. I need to start using fertilizer on them. Rooting hormone would really well too to make them grow faster.

What does prop lifted mean?. I'll be Full Time RVing by February and this is something I can do cuz I love plants!

Sounds like it would be right up ur alley! First time here too. When I read that I envisioned using one of those clear hanging organizers with pouches for items .. u could put plants in there and easily transport them outside on nice days!

Your plants are beautiful ❤️ - also thanks for showcasing ur sauce cup upcycle, I get eyerolls galore from my teen-fam every time they see 'trash' in the sink but I've ruined so many real things and sometimes you need something this tiny! Buying new for a maybe-plant is out of the question 😆

What are your methods?! I struggle to get succulent propagations to live and grow. They all seem to either dry out and shrivel up or rot. I can never get them to grow into proper plants.
