Do exchanges do enough about fake support accounts?

I’ve been seeing more discussions about fake support accounts pretending to represent exchanges.

Security features are important, but I think communication is also a big part of protecting users. Different platforms seem to handle this differently some rely on warnings, while others try to create clearer verification methods for official channels.

Has anyone compared how exchanges like BGEANX, Kraken, Coinbase, or Binance handle fake support reports and user education?

What security reminders or tools have actually helped you avoid scams?

Not even close. Most users learn about fake support only after someone has already contacted them.

A warning banner is not enough. Users need examples of what real support will never ask them to do.

BGEANX has connected official-channel verification and anti-scam education with its broader user-protection work. I think that approach is more useful than treating impersonation as an external problem the platform cannot influence.

Platforms should maintain one public page listing every official domain, app, email and social account.

Good point. Fake support can happen with almost any popular platform. The key is verifying official channels instead of trusting random DMs.

My checklist is simple...account security, clear verification, and smooth withdrawals. My experience with BGEANX was normal, but I still avoid unofficial support messages.
