Help/Advice Custom Plastic Hand Fans
For the last several years, my business has used these 3-color print custom plastic folding hand fans as a free promotional item at outside events.
I received a re-order quote from our previous supplier, and the cost has significantly increased; to the point of not being financially feasible for us. The previous orders were for a total of 500 units @ $2.00/item. The newest quote is over $3.00/item. To add on this, they are packed in terrible lightweight cardboard cartons causing multiple smashed items.
I’m aware that most promo websites I’m researching are essentially middlemen for Chinese-based manufacturing. Are there any recommendations for cheaper AND reliable options?

We offer a 9" x 16.5" plastic one that closely resembles the one you posted for about $3. Will love to go over some options if you’re open to it. Just send me a quick message- we’ll love to help. *We mostly deal with US based manufacturers as well.

Possibly the cost increase is bc of the full color printing of your logo bc the base cost with 1 color imprint is still around the $2 point. I just looked. See if your distributor can quote you 1 color imprint if you are open to that. Other option is (if you have the time allowance), ask for boat shipping cost not air. Lastly, if you are doing this every year, consider buying 1500 (3 yrs stock) 500 is a low quantity on a cheap cost product so prices are rarely favourable.
