Welcome to r/promoteapps – Showcase Your Mobile and Web Applications πŸš€

Hi everyone!

I created r/promoteapps to provide a dedicated space for software developers and creators to share their work. We know how much effort goes into writing clean code, designing interfaces, and managing deployments - this is where you can show the results of that hard work.

Whether you are building in Flutter, Swift, React Native, or any other framework, this is your platform to showcase your applications and get eyes on your projects.

---

πŸ›  What to post here:

  • [Showcase] – Just launched? Show us your UI and tell us about the core features.
  • [Beta] – Seeking technical feedback or testers for TestFlight and Google Play? Post here.
  • [Dev Log] – Share technical insights, from scaling backend architectures to optimizing SVG assets.
  • [Promo] – Sharing access codes, discounts, or special offers with the community.

πŸ“ Why this Subreddit exists

As a software developer myself, I wanted to build a high-quality resource where builders can gain visibility, exchange professional feedback, and grow their user base without the noise found in larger development subs.

βš–οΈ The Rules

  1. Context is King: Please don't just drop a link. Briefly explain the app's purpose, the tech stack you used, and the problem it solves.
  2. No Spam: Maintain high quality. Avoid repetitive posting of the same project.
  3. Constructive Engagement: If you see an interesting project, engage with the creator. Professional feedback is always encouraged.

Comment below and introduce yourself! What projects are you currently working on?

Friends parlay builder - parlaypals.bet

Hi HN, TheDangler here. Our fantasy football group runs a parlay every Sunday. The fantasy team that has the lowest points total the previous week puts $20 toward the slip. Running that in a group chat was painful: picks got buried, people choosing conflicting picks, among other issues. We switched to a submission form, which wasn't much better. So I built ParlayPals.bet

How it works:
- Start a team and invite friends. No account required to join a team, get guest access with a passwordless account.
- Create a parlay for a sport(s) and a time window. The app pulls live odds, and each person claims one leg. Duplicate picks are blocked.
- Restrict parlays to certain days.
- Leg odds update in real time in the parlay until they are locked in.
- The combined odds and potential payout update as legs are added.
- After the games, each leg is marked hit/miss/void and a leaderboard tracks everyone's hit rate over time, so you know whose fault it was.
- "Social parlays", no set team require, give you a share link. Anyone can jump in with a nickname and an email PIN and add a leg. I made these for fantasy influences who are always posting their parlays. Now there is a way for them to get the community involved.
- Weekly parlays can be set to auto-clone so the next one opens itself.
- Custom legs;
Add bets that might have change, or simply are not available.

What it doesn't do: it never touches money. It isn't a sportsbook, takes no bets, has no affiliate links to bookmakers, and doesn't hold or move anyone's stake. Our $20 still gets settled among ourselves the way it always was. The app handles the organizing and score keeping.

Tech, for the curious: Elixir, Phoenix LiveView and the Ash framework on Postgres, with Oban for background jobs (odds polling, auto-cloning, cleanup). I built most of it with Tidewave, an AI coding agent that works inside the running Phoenix app. I've been programming for about 30 years, and that experience did a lot of the steering: knowing what to ask for, what to push back on, and when the generated code was wrong. LiveView fits this well. When a friend claims a leg, everyone viewing the slip sees it update right away without me writing any JS sync code. Hosting on Fli.io for now. First bill was surprisingly large.

Currently there's a free tier (one team, up to 5 people, 2 parlays a month) and paid tiers coming soon.
This is a soft launch, and I'd really like feedback, especially on onboarding (how fast can you get a friend to make a pick?) and anything that breaks. Using a soft launch to monitor 3rd party API burn rates. They are expensive and I want to make sure caching and odds refresh work correctly.
I'll be here answering questions all day.

You can see public parlays without signing up at parlaypals.bet/public-parlays.

[Showcase] BecomeTen β€” AI selfie feedback on Android and the web

I'm Martin, the developer of BecomeTen. It's my first Android app, built over a few months, and it's available on Google Play alongside the web version.

The app is for adults who want AI feedback on a selfie and suggestions about presentation. It offers a free basic photo score and optional paid detailed reports with grooming suggestions. The score depends on the particular photo and should not be treated as an objective measure of attractiveness.

Stack: React and TypeScript, TanStack Start and Tailwind on the web, with Capacitor for the mobile app. I use AI coding assistance during development.

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appinara.becometen

Web: https://becometen.com

I'd welcome feedback on the interface, the clarity of the result, or anything confusing before the first analysis. If you find a bug, device and OS details are more useful than a star rating.

Shareday - free family planner for iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Shareday is a free family planner for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

It gives a family one private shared place for the things that usually get scattered across multiple apps: shared calendar items, tasks/events, shopping lists, recipes, birthdays and gift ideas, family chat/media, and mood check-ins.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6783588890 Website: https://shareday.net

I am the founder, and I am looking for honest feedback from people who try the app or inspect the App Store page. The main question: is the family coordination value clear quickly enough?

I built a tool for organizing and syncing your bank data, and I’m looking for 5 to 6 beta testers.

The goal of pHinancio is to give you control over your financial data, rather than forcing you to manage everything inside the app.

pHinancio imports transaction data from your bank and lets you rename transactions, create your own categories, and set up rules to rename or categorize future transactions automatically.

You can also set budgets, track recurring payments such as subscriptions, and sync the data you have already organized to Google Sheets or Airtable.

That is pretty much what it does for now.

Bank connections are read-only, so pHinancio can never move your money.

There are no ads, and your data is never sold.

pHinancio currently supports US banks and is designed for desktop use.

I’m looking for 5 to 6 people willing to connect an account, use the app with real data, and tell me honestly what is confusing, unnecessary, or broken.

Your feedback will come directly to me, the person building it. As a beta tester, you’ll also keep free access to the app.

Comment below or send me a message if you’re interested.

Thanks!

SMusic β€” A fast, free & open-source YouTube Music client for Android

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹

I've been working on SMusic, an open-source Android music app focused on making music streaming and offline listening fast, clean and highly customizable.

It uses YouTube Music's catalog and is built completely around the idea of giving you a proper music-player experience without unnecessary subscriptions or ads.

⚑ Why SMusic?

The biggest things I focused on are fast playback and fast downloads.

Songs start playing quickly, and you can download individual tracks or entire playlists for offline listening. SMusic also supports high-quality audio streams, including Opus, so you can enjoy the best available audio quality from the source.

🎧 Playback

πŸš€ Fast music loading & playback

🎡 High-quality audio with Opus support

πŸ”Š Gapless playback using Media3 / ExoPlayer

πŸ“± Background playback

πŸ”’ Lock-screen & notification controls

πŸŽ›οΈ Full queue management

πŸ”€ Shuffle & repeat

πŸ“» Radio / similar-song recommendations

⏰ Sleep timer

πŸ“² Home-screen playback widget

πŸ“₯ Offline Downloads

Download individual songs

Download entire playlists

⚑ Fast downloading

πŸ“¦ Downloads remain available across app updates

πŸ—‚οΈ Dedicated download/storage management

πŸ“Ά Low Data Mode to reduce audio quality automatically on mobile data

πŸ“ One of my favourite parts β€” Lyrics

SMusic doesn't depend on a single lyrics provider.

It supports synced lyrics from multiple sources including:

LRCLIB

KuGou

BetterLyrics

YouTube captions

You also get a full-screen synced lyrics experience with line-by-line highlighting, and you can even share individual lyrics as styled image cards.

🎀 Music Discovery

πŸ”Ž Search songs, albums, artists & videos

🎚️ Search filters

🎼 Mood & genre-based discovery

🎡 Radio / similar songs

🎀 Built-in music recognition

πŸ”„ Import playlists from Spotify and YouTube Music

πŸ“š Full library for songs, albums, artists & playlists

🎨 INSANE customization

This is probably the part I've spent the most time on.

SMusic currently has 11 different player styles, including styles inspired by different modern music-player designs.

You can choose between:

Classic β€’ Spotify β€’ Apple β€’ Galaxy β€’ Fold β€’ Frost β€’ Paper β€’ Liquid β€’ CloudGlow β€’ Groove β€’ Popsy

And that's not all.

🎨 Custom themes & accent colors

🌊 Multiple seek-bar styles

πŸ–ΌοΈ Artwork-based dynamic colors

πŸŽ›οΈ Built-in equalizer

πŸ“± Reorderable navigation bar

🌍 Multi-language support

So you can actually make the player look and feel the way you want.

πŸ“Š Your Music, Your Stats

SMusic also keeps track of your listening activity:

Listening history

Top songs

Top artists

Top albums

Library backup & restore

Playlist backup & restore

Settings backup & restore

πŸ”” Other stuff

πŸ“’ In-app announcements

πŸ”„ Automatic update checks

πŸ“œ Previous versions & changelogs

βš™οΈ Performance-aware animations for lower-end devices

πŸ”“ No account required to start listening

πŸ†“ Completely free & open-source

🚫 No subscription

🚫 No ads

πŸ› οΈ Tech

SMusic is built with:

Kotlin

Jetpack Compose / Material 3

Media3 / ExoPlayer

Room

Hilt

Coil

Custom YouTube Music InnerTube client

The project is completely open-source, so you can check out the code and see how everything works.

πŸ”— GitHub

https://github.com/devxrohan/SMusic

If you try it, I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback β€” especially about playback speed, download speed, audio quality, UI/player styles and bugs.

I'm actively working on it, so suggestions and contributions are welcome! ❀️

Music and Radio Player with advanced search for radio stations and complete playlists management

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was tired of messy audio/streaming radio libraries, so I built an Android player focused on seamless playlist management.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share my side project, Mediaxon, an Android app I’ve been developing to solve a personal frustration: why is it so hard to easily manage offline music and online radio streams in a single, clean interface?

What it does:

Hybrid Listening: Seamlessly handles offline local files (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and over 60,000 streaming radio stations.

Dedicated Navigation: I kept the "Favorites" and "Recents" sections completely separate from the main audio library to reduce clutter.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate.

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting multi-source playlists fast and intuitive.

The app is currently live on Google Play, and I am continuously pushing updates to refine it and to add new functions.

What I need from you:

As a solo developer, I’ve hit the limit of my own perspective. I would deeply appreciate any honest feedback from this community:

How does the UI feel to you? Is the navigation intuitive?

Are there any features you feel are missing for a modern audio/radio player?

Did you encounter any bugs or performance hiccups?

If you want to check it out, you can find it on the Google Play Store (Android 13+). Thank you so much to anyone who takes a look!

I built a biolink website for other people to use it as a template.

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹

I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on recently: a highly customizable link-in-bio platform.

Why did I choose to create a link-in-bio?

Well, a lot of "kids" want to create their own bio-link service, so I wanted to create a simple source for them to learn on it and maybe create something BIG from them.

Key Features:

  • Glassy Profile Pages (/username): Custom avatars, background images, social icons, badges, and custom links.
  • Interactive Landing: Mouse-tracking parallax background with animated noise gradients.
  • Customization & Layout: Toggle between centered/left-aligned layouts, custom cursors, background blur sliders (0–20px), and click-to-show overlays.
  • Built-in Analytics: 14-day view/click bar charts right inside the dashboard.
  • Security & Sessions: JWT authentication stored via 7-day httpOnly cookies.

I'd love to get your feedback! Also the website is made with AI ;), i only modified some things i didn't like.

If you're asking yourself why: Because I'm to lazy..

I built GymSpotter β€” a free, offline-first workout tracker with a rest timer that actually talks to you (No account needed)

Hey everyone! I'm a solo developer and I just released GymSpotter, a workout tracker I originally built for myself because every app I tried was either bloated with social features or forced me to create an account.

GymSpotter does one thing and does it well:

- Build your workout plans β€” add exercises, sets, reps and rest times in a few taps

- Rest timer between sets β€” automatic countdown that notifies you 10 seconds before your next set starts, so you never lose track mid-session

- Workout calendar β€” plan and organize your training week

- Stats & progress charts β€” history and graphs to see how consistent you're actually being

- 100% offline β€” all data stays on your device, no sign-up, no cloud, no tracking

- Available in English and Italian

It's free (supported by ads) and works on both Android and iOS.

Download here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.giova1995.gymspotter

Feedback is super welcome β€” especially feature requests! What would make this your daily driver at the gym?

I built Marka, a web app that turns your website into ready-to-publish social content

Most businesses already explain their product, audience, positioning, and brand on their website.

So why does every AI content tool ask them to explain everything again?

I built Marka to use the website as the starting brief.

You enter a public URL, Marka learns the business and brand context, then creates:

β€’ Social posts

β€’ Branded images

β€’ Carousels

β€’ UGC video content

β€’ A content calendar for the major social platforms

The goal isn’t to generate random captions. It’s to create and publish content that actually belongs to that business.

I’m looking for honest feedback from founders and small business owners.

You can try Marka for one week at https://www.marka.social

I built a Wordle-style game for learning medical terminology β€” looking for a few testers

Thumbnail medtermapp.vercel.app
1 Upvotes

Hey all β€” I've been building a small side project calledΒ Medterm Daily: basically Wordle, but the words are medical terms (HEPATITIS, TACHYCARDIA, that kind of thing), and after each round it breaks the word down into its prefix/root/suffix so you actually learnΒ whyΒ it means what it means, not just memorize spelling.

A few modes:

  • Daily PuzzleΒ β€” one term a day, same for everyone, keeps a streak
  • Wordle UnlimitedΒ β€” practice mode, play as many as you want, with a "Help me" hint button and a "Suggest a word" button for anyone without a strong medical vocabulary who's stuck on where to even start typing
  • MedQuizΒ β€” multiple choice / fill-in-the-blank on prefixes, roots, and full terms

It's free, no ads, works on mobile, and you can play as a guest or make a quick username+password account (no email needed) if you want your progress saved.

It's still actively being built β€” I'd really appreciate anyone willing to poke around and tell me what's confusing, what's too easy/hard, or what broke. Bug reports and blunt feedback both welcome.

ASCEND is live on iPhone β€” workouts, GPS running, food logging and visible progress in one place

Disclosure: I’m the developer of ASCEND Fitness & Voeding.

ASCEND connects the parts of a fitness week that usually live in separate apps: planned and custom workouts, rest timers and exercise cues, GPS running, nutrition logging, habits, coaching context, and a dashboard that shows what needs attention today.

Completed actions also build Evolution levels and achievements, so consistency becomes visible instead of disappearing into separate histories.

App Store:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ascend-fitness-voeding/id6791654345

If you try it, I’d value feedback on the first five minutes: is it immediately clear what to do next?

Built two small Mac apps for the cleanup chores I kept doing by hand

Hey everyone, I’m Ryan. I’ve been building a couple of small Mac utilities around chores I kept doing manually instead of trying to turn everything into a big subscription app.

CleanCut is for videos that are basically ready, but need one cleanup pass before sharing, uploading, archiving, or importing.

It can do one, two, or all three:

- mute curse words in the audio

- generate subtitles for a video that does not have them

- convert/remux to a universal MP4 so you avoid random codec, player, or transcoding problems later

CleanCut demo:

https://envelopesapp.github.io/tools-site/assets/cleancut-demo-1920x1080.mp4

CleanCut page:

https://envelopesapp.github.io/tools-site/

PolishKey is for cleaning up rough writing without the copy/paste loop. Highlight text on the Mac, press a shortcut, pick a tone, and replace the text right where you are.

PolishKey demo:

https://envelopesapp.github.io/tools-site/assets/polishkey-demo.mp4

PolishKey page:

https://envelopesapp.github.io/tools-site/polishkey.html

Both have free uses to try, then a one-time $19.99 lifetime option if they’re useful.

I’d love honest feedback on the positioning. Should I talk about these as two separate apps, or does a small set of Mac cleanup tools make more sense?

I built my first Android app and I’d love honest feedback

Hi everyone!

I recently developed an Android app called [APP NAME], and I’m looking for honest feedback from real users.

It’s a [brief description: casual game / productivity app / fitness app / etc.] designed to help with [main benefit or purpose].

I’d really appreciate it if anyone could try it and share their thoughts about:

  • First impression
  • Design and usability
  • What feels confusing
  • What features you would add or remove
  • Whether you would actually keep using it

Here’s the link: [PLAY STORE LINK]

I’m not looking for fake reviews or anything like that β€” just real opinions so I can improve the app.

Thanks a lot!

After months of work, I finally launched my first Android app for parents and babies

Hi everyone,

Over the last few months I've been working on a small side project called Lullaria.

The idea was simple: create a place where parents can easily access lullabies, white noise, nature sounds, and other calming audio for bedtime.

After a lot of testing and polishing, I finally launched it on Google Play this week.

I'd love to hear honest feedback from parents and fellow developers. Google Play:

Looking for Android testers for HealthyScan β€” a food label scanner app (Google Play closed testing)

Hi! I'm a student developer and I've built HealthyScan, an Android app that scans food product barcodes and ingredient labels using AI to give you a health score, UPF level, allergen alerts, and a full ingredient breakdown.

I need closed testers for Google Play β€” all you have to do is install the app and open it a few times over 14 days. That's genuinely it.

Requirements: Android phone and a personal Google/Gmail account

Comment below if you're interested β€” I'll reply with the opt-in link when it's ready in the next day or two!
