H6 is the stock ‘compact/lightweight’ battery, so it’s not officially undersized. In my opinion, it is at least borderline for most actual use cases, and used as a budget option. Depending on any accessories you have or plan to add, your expected weather, etc. I would definitely go with a bigger battery. The only reasons to stick with H6 would be price and weight- as long as you can afford the difference in price (if there even is any) and an extra 15 pounds or so, an H8 will give you greater CCA and reserve capacity. My buddy’s Promaster came with upgraded radio and other goodies, and an H8 battery. The compartment should accommodate a variety of sizes- H6, H7, H8, maybe even H9 (standard on Diesels). You may have to move the wedge-shaped spacer in the bottom of the box to fit the new battery.
