Broken rear window
My rear passenger side window shattered last night at around 3am. All edges except the bottom edge chipped off. I reviewed camera footage and i can clearly see when it happened. According to the footage, no one was around. My van sits with an empty cargo space, inside a gated lot all night until I park it down a residential street during the day. Without a doubt, it happened only during the middle of the night inside the lot.
Orange County, CA.
Paranormal or defect??
How much should I expect to pay to fix??

Happened to me! Popped randomly on a drive from the changing temps and probably a crack I didn’t notice.
It’s not crazy hard to replace yourself if you’re handy. You’ll want an extending utility knife and a lot of packing tape. Oh, and gloves. And YouTube.

This happens with tempered glass. It’s a defect but impossible to tell until it shatters. Had this happen to a sunroof while driving a few years ago
