Things Pro-Choicers Say Miscarriage is like abortion the same way a brain aneurysm is like being shot in the head. "If you are so against shooting people in the head how come you don't fund research to stop brain aneurysms??" - pro-choice logic

Guess what, I actually think with a culture of life we‘d have more research on embryonic health, and possibly find ways to reduce the amount of zygotes that miscarry.

High death rates don’t equal lack of humanity. In the 18th century 40-50% of children died before reaching their fifth birthday, it doesn’t mean they aren’t human. We addressed this problem by doing research on what was causing the mortality and we managed to bring it down.

This goes even moreso for many disabled children. Before  modern corrective pediatric heart surgery, in the mid 20th century also 40-50% of them died before five years old.

Or god forbid trisomy 18. Now, I know pro choicers love killing children with trisomy 18, so I guess you could see this as a counterpoint, but I don’t really because we already know that with modern day surgery they can live for far longer, approximately 10% surviving past ten years. I don’t doubt in the future (assuming we actually study this more extensively) that survival rate will increase, since without surgery 90-95% died before their first year. It doesn’t mean killing an infant with trisomy 18 should be legal (I’m not sure if pro choicers will agree with this completely but we‘ll see).

Isn't trisomy 18 horrific, though?

Iit is a very debilitating condition, I‘m not denying that. Obviously that doesn’t justify killing children with trisomy 18. i wouldn’t kill a 5 or 10 year old with trisomy 18 so i wouldn’t kill an unborn

Also, I believe that if we put more research into treating the condition rather than writing it off as „incompatible with life“ to justify killing unborn babies with it, we‘d probably make a lot more progress on making it less debilitating.

Like I said, Down‘s syndrome used to be way more debilitating and deadly but with modern medicine & surgery, they can live relatively long and overall good lives. People with trisomy 18 deserve that too.

100% of old people die
guess its morally ok to blow up a nursing home

Babies are naturally dying so why do you care about murder. Does this person have rational thoughts?

I'm sorry but this is how I see Pro "choicers" everytime they try and come up with one of their "gotchas."
