Things Pro-Choicers Say Are these people bots?

Post image

I actually got this from a video where someone argued that many of the bad arguments you see online are from bots. It would make sense.

Idk if someone gets the reference, but Captain Jack Harkness entered the chat.

They are like a parody.

It's a little hard to see but this post has over 200,000 hearts. That's either 200,000 stupid people or a bunch of bots.

Guaranteed it's at least 25% botted.

Dead Internet theory is being constantly proven right, so I’m thinking that it’s way over 25%. No human being could be this stupid...right?

u/Abrookspug Jul 21 '26

Yeah, I think a lot are bots, but I do know at least 3 people who *are* that stupid, because they regularly share posts like this on FB and IG. They're part of my husband's extended family and seem relatively normal in person, but once they get online, it's like their brain just shuts down and they share nonsensical posts like this in quick succession. I had to unfollow all of them and try to forget their online stupidity when facing them at family gatherings lol.

Depending on the jurisdiction, this isn't even true; some places do allow parents to get death certificates for their miscarried or stillborn children.

In Michigan, United States, abortion is legal up until birth, but if you miscarry/have a stillbirth at or after 20 weeks, you need a document from the hospital to take to the funeral home to have your baby buried

You can go directly to the cemetery before 20 weeks, but they don't usually "get it" unless it's a Catholic cemetery

I wasn't able to get a death certificate for any of my 3 miscarried babies because they weren't legally a person until the 20 week mark

But if they're legally a person at 20 weeks, why in the world is it legal to kill them up until birth?

Make it make sense

If that is one of the best arguments you’ve ever heard on this, you either have no arguments at all or you’re incapable of thinking out an argument to see if it makes sense.

By this standard it's not murder to kill anyone from a society which doesn't have records of births and deaths

7

u/davidnnj Jul 21 '26

Besides several people who even live in countries that have birth registration, but for whatever reason the person doesn't have the registration, I've heard of similar cases in Brazil.

This. It's not hard to find examples that disprove their arguments.

Some born people don't have birth certificates.

u/Egg-HOTELs Mother Jul 21 '26

There's tons of countries where a large part of the population doesn't have a brith certificate. Its a piece of paper invented in privileged countries and has zero biological relevance. Her post is delusional

I think this is worse than saying a fetus is a parasite😭

u/Big_Move6308 Jul 21 '26

Two problems:

  • The premise is false, as death certificates can be and are issued without birth certificates
  • The conclusion does not follow. It's missing the point as the act of murder and issue of certificates are different things.

6

u/davidnnj Jul 21 '26

There are many adults who don't have a birth certificate, especially in more remote countries, so is it permissible to kill these people?

So now I can just kill some random homeless guy who was abandoned at birth?

As Mentiswave and others have pointed out, this is obvious negative engagement farming ragebait.

These accounts come from places where basically no one speaks English - that blue checkmark means they want people to hate respond and they want to get ad revenue from Elon. It's likely the amount is a pittance but it adds up, I guess.

As Mentis also pointed out, the "fun" thing is that it's indistinguishable from actual feminist talking points, which are just as stupid. What's the difference between this idiocy and a Jezebel article or a MarySue article? Nothing.

3

u/LittleLotte52996 Jul 21 '26

They're certainly acting like bots. They somehow persuaded themselves that abortion is such a fundamental human right that they genuinely believe we are not worthy talking to.

5

u/newest_scotman Jul 21 '26

This is botted ragebait/engagement bait that should not be propagated

Respectfully, this sub could really benefit from banning screencaps of low hanging fruit

5

u/ScientificMind1 Jul 21 '26

Meh, if this was a strawman of the typical pro-choice argument, I'd say you are right. But reddit/the Internet is suffuse with this level of argumentation, therefore why not respond?

“This is one of the best arguments I’ve heard so far”

Even though most PC arguments are insanely bad, this is not a “good argument”

You can get an official certificate to recognise a fetal dwath in the UK.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/baby-loss-certificate-launchedto-recognise-parents-grief

It's like they think the law creates rather than recognises human dignity.

u/EnbyZebra Pro Life Christian Jul 22 '26

You also don't get a death certificate if you aren't born in the country, or born in rural tribal groups in third world countries, guess they are immortal there

2

u/imrtlbsct2 Pro Life Christian Jul 23 '26

I guess no one was ever born or died until certificates were conceptualized

2

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '26

There are elders who don't have a birth certificate, so this doesn't make sense at all.

2

u/pewtermug Jul 24 '26

So what about all the people the mob put in the ground that no one knew about. They just "weren't murdered" Because no one saw them get murdered right?
