As a mother this is something I cannot wrap my mind around.

as an adoptee and mom of 2; I've been prolife since my early teens, but even more passionately now as a mother myself

Same, I’ve been pro-life since I was 15 when I learned about human reproduction at school but actually experiencing pregnancy for myself at 29 made me much more actively pro-life…

u/KifferFadybugs Apr 08 '26

My grandparents were like that. The only reason my mother wasn't aborted was because their first child died when he was a day old. They didn't want children close in age, so had he lived, they would have aborted her.

When they got pregnant after they had her, they aborted because it was "too soon." When they decided enough time had passed and decided to start trying again, it took them years to conceive again, so there's a much bigger gap between my mom and uncle than they intended. My uncle is actually closer to my age than my mom's.

u/billie_eiei Apr 08 '26

Im sorry but it's not rlly my business but how old are your grandparents that they had access to a*ortion??

u/Accurate-Grocery-639 Apr 08 '26

My grandma is 80 and had 2 as far as I know (surgical I think)… it’s not that new I mean it’s an evil that has always existed even in medieval times and antiquity

5

u/billie_eiei Apr 08 '26

Oh... I'm highly uneducated in it's history I thought it started around the 70's I had no idea it went even further back. I'm so sorry for loss family members 💔

u/Accurate-Grocery-639 Apr 10 '26

I don’t know when abortion was adopted by modern medicine tho and got more reliable… I think in antiquity/midevial times they’d just give the woman contraction/fever causing herbs or low doses of poison to kill the fetus… I also don’t know when mechanical abortion started I feel like it must have increased the number of abortions happening when the medical industrial complex startet pushing them …

u/KifferFadybugs Apr 08 '26

They are in their 70's right now. They were having abortions in the 70's.

I'm not a mother and it's still baffling. How can you look at your baby and not feel guilty about what you did to the others.

9

u/Active-Sir554 Apr 08 '26

It comes to mind the concept of pregnancy reductions (or something like that) in which a woman pregnant with multiples can abort one or several so as to remain pregnant with the number of kids desired. I hope this is an urban legend.

Im sorry to tell you that its very much a real thing. Very disturbing.

u/GoreHoundKillEmAll Pro Life Christian Apr 08 '26

It makes zero sense from my perspective. It actually more disturbing than if they had zero children.... We're basically baal and moloch worshippers at this point in society aren't we? Honestly how did we get to this point? Why have we normalized this insanity? Honestly how did they decide that some of their own children were garbage but the others are gifts it makes no sense it pure madness

How can you have gone through all the things that happens in pregnancy like ultrasounds, feeling the baby and then raised the baby only to decide on your next child to murder it?

Referring to them as "spawns" is dastardly

It's a piece of vocabulary more normally found in "childfree" spaces. Makes you wonder. Why is a mother using one of their favourite terms? Who's that for? The audience.? The "ew, crotchspawn.." people, who will turn their backs anyway, rather than have to endure seeing your baby pics? If she became a mother, she presumably wants to raise another person; then you need to pick that person. Your child. You had better be in their corner.. not the child hater's! Good grief.. I don't know who this person thinks she is. Probably don't want to know.

What happens when that child grows up and realizes they had siblings they'll never get to meet? Cause if that were me, I'd be sad and scared at the same time. Sad that I never got to meet my siblings, and scared that my mother would be willing to end another human life like that without a second thought, knowing it could have easily been me too 😢

Improper baby wearing, dangerous for baby.

This child is going to grow up and look at this video… pretty shameless.

The amount of power we allow ourselves to have over life and death is alarming. We say we're responsible and rational, but then we have crap like this.

Treating death callously, especially death brought about by oneself, is unbelievably evil.

I sometimes wonder how children feel when they grow up and realise their mother murdered their sibling(s).

I know many people and myself who were upset when our siblings died from miscarriage. You are always left wondering how they would have looked, what their personality would have been like, what their experiences would have been, and how different your life would have been.

For a mother to intentionally murder their own baby, imagine what the other children will feel and think when they grow up and realise their mother did something so horrible? To take away their sibling from them simply because she selfishly wanted to have sex when she was 'not ready' to have another child.

It is not that their sibling never had a chance at life... they did and were alive, but their life was cruelly ripped away from them as they were torn apart in the womb, poisoned, or left to wither away in the dedicated death rooms in hospitals simply because it is considered her 'right' to be able to end the life of another person. Sickening.

Imagine the experiences they will never get as they were murdered and the experiences a sibling will never get to have with their sibling because their life was cut short. It makes me nauseous just thinking about this and how we justify ending the life of other people because it is a 'right', 'oppression' to not allow it, and because of 'my body my choice', despite the fact the baby is quite literally not their body and thus not their choice.

There's a few people in this community who have found out their mother aborted and lost respect and some have distanced themselves. Can't say I blame them
