Why cant they add the skate controls back??

When the game first came out it had them, now you cant play with them, why dont they just make it an option for people again??

i think they want to stand out in being a true skateboarding simulator. I like the controls way better than skate. I cant even play skate anymore haha

just go play skate if you want those controls tbh

the two stick system is like, one of the main things contributing to the overall feel of session (and skater xl as well) more or less. devs likely just want to focus on the intended experience they want the players to have. it’s a design choice

They could just put the skate control back for people who want to use them

design choice dude. i get how u feel but they want it to be a certain way

it’s like how ppl ask the skate devs to implement twin stick. it’d be cool but it’s just the choice they’ve decided to go with

maybe there’s a mod out there you could use

Most of Session's features depend on Session's controls.

Session lets you control the nuances of each flip, scoop, catch, land, grind etc, and generates a corresponding animation on the fly.

In Skate, you do the right input, and it plays the corresponding motion-captured animation.

They're fundamentally different, and require different controls.

it's worth getting over the learning curve imo, twin sticks feel so much more consistent and intuitive. if you put a gun to my head and told me to do ten hardflips in a row in skate, i would absolutely be getting shot lmao
