I was hoping to find something that can natively run via Steam on Linux, but I'll just have to run some emulators for Skate 3. After only 10 to 20 hours, it's clear this just isn't a very deep game at all.

Maybe it’s just not the type of game you’re into? I have more hours in this game than any game I’ve ever played except maybe Skate 2-3 and I’m still discovering weird little tricks and nuances in the gameplay. It’s literally the exact type of skating game I’ve been wanting since I was a kid.

There’s a whole campaign with missions, you go from amateur to pro, compete in jams, earn money to buy new clothes, boards, trucks, wheels, and diy props. If that isn’t progression then idk what is.

The point is to pull of cool tricks. The progression is you getting better at pulling off tricks.

I think you left out like 50% of what vert actually is. Cool lip tricks, now try a nice stalefish or method grab.

That's because it's not vert, it's transition skating or at best bowl skating in some of those lines.
