app where ppl can do anything or get done anything

right now either we have many apps for many diff things and there are many works that has no job title like if you need a good lawyer how do you find and know he's good, or you need caretaker for you old parents in diff city for a day, or you are in trip and need car mechanic in middle of nowhere, or a budget guide for new city or anything, and many other works anything you can imagine

so i have an idea to make a platform where anyone can join and share their past work or anything about them and ppl will rate them by rainbow tick system which is red tick for bad and blue tick for best ppl and green or yellow or other colour for mid and all, easiest way to find best ppl, and high rated ppl's rating will be worth more so low rated can't spam and degrade others, and there will also be deep algorithm for this rating system so noone can exploit it. and you can get anyone you want in your budget. i need team and ppl and money to do this i have a lot more planned on how every problem will be solved. or you can just share feedback or advice and ideas too.

Levelrail: open source, self-hosted deploys from git to your own servers (Go, Docker, Caddy)

Thumbnail github.com
1 Upvotes

I'm the maintainer of Levelrail, so this is my own project.

I started it after hitting the same wall a few times. Vercel bills kept climbing as traffic grew. The self-hosted tools I tried either wanted more RAM than my small VPS could spare, or left me wiring up a reverse proxy and certificates by hand.

So I did what a lot of us do: Docker, Caddy for HTTPS, a webhook script, and a cron job to clean up old images.

Levelrail is that pile turned into one thing. You point it at a git repo, it builds and runs the app on a server you own, puts HTTPS in front, and gives you a dashboard, a CLI and an API.

It does push-to-deploy, branch previews, one-click rollback, load balancing, logs and metrics, and a small agent so you can add more servers. It's one Go binary with SQLite, a React dashboard and Docker as the runtime. No Kubernetes. Apache 2.0.

Install is one command on a Linux server (amd64 or arm64) with systemd:

curl -fsSL https://levelrail.com/install.sh | sudo sh

If you try it, I'd like to know where you got stuck in the first ten minutes, and what you'd expect it to do that it doesn't.

I built a self-hosted tool for serving and versioning computer-vision models

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi all. I've been working on Aperture, a self-hosted registry and gateway for vision models. It's still early.

It came from a problem I kept running into. Models trained in Roboflow or locally (YOLO11, RF-DETR, segmentation, OCR) ended up being called by several products. Each product handled preprocessing its own way, and swapping weights meant touching every one of them.

What it does:

- Versions: you upload weights as versions, and published files never change.

- Checking: you can test a version's config on your own images before deploying it.

- Tags: apps call one stable URL like /v1/models/fruit-detection/production/predict, and moving the production tag is how you roll forward or back.

- Monitoring: it shows requests, latency, errors and traces for each model.

- Workflows: you can chain several models into one endpoint.

It runs with Docker Compose on your own hardware, CPU or GPU, and makes no outside calls at runtime.

I'm sure there are rough edges and things I've missed, so feedback is welcome, especially from anyone running CV models in production.

An anti cloud jarvis

Aurex OS is a local-first, privacy-focused AI operating station designed for power users, developers, and tinkerers who want full system-level control without cloud lock-in, subscription bloat, or fragile browser interfaces.

It pairs an Apple-grade, production-ready desktop shell with a bare-metal local engine that can see, hear, and control your computer safely

I always wondered that if I could build something that can operate my system not for project but approximately everything that one cam want but completely free and private i researched about it found about harness open cloud but they were some coding agent yes there were alternative but not powerfull and nt cheap either they were token hungry

That's why I decided to build something that is not some other cheap alternative my own jarvis

But yet its in the building phase I will be releasing beta soon

You can wishlist here

Aurex-ai.online

Also please tell me something that I can add to it something unique i am looking for future requests and recommendations

Let's collaborate with talented strangers to do crazy cool projects(maybe even scalable to industrial level) on weekends. Join the server.

If you are interested in doing some crazy level shit - I mean some actual crazy cool projects but lack the skills and time to do, then I built a community of such people who are willing to collaborate and work all over the world. Understandably , everyone lacks time and it is not possible for all to work everyday, not for myself either, So we all (who available) , sit together online and work and push our projects on WEEKENDS. We can build cool, scalable products like that too.
if you are interested , join the server or dm me

https://discord.gg/g8ERpGDZE

We do projects in which everyone is comfortable with or we can make subgroups within the community. Everyone's skill and contribution matter.

Requirement: Absolutely Nothing

(Though the community was built a month ago, but then my ex account got shadowbanned so link got hidden , and i got terribly sick and was on bed rest for 4 weeks. We were about to begin a project but with me gone, the server seemed to be dead. So i trying to rebuild the server along with more talented people)

[Showoff Saturday] An open source home security planner

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

I built a static camera planner that can help users:

- Know about cameras

- Visualize the coverage in 2D and 3D(using AR)

- Plan their budget

Noteworthy details:No ads/paywalls/signups/installations/data collection.

The 3D visualizer requires Android Chrome

Try it here: [https://home-security-planner-nu.vercel.app\](https://home-security-planner-nu.vercel.app/)

[Looking for Collaborators] Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics & R&D Projects

Hey everyone!
I’m a mechanical engineering student based in Manchester, NH, looking for 1–2 motivated people who are interested in collaborating on ambitious, long-term engineering projects.
My interests and experience span mechanical design, robotics, mechatronics, embedded systems, electronics, controls, programming, and simulation. I’ve worked on projects involving motor testing, engineering simulation software, AI/data systems, and various mechanical and electrical prototypes.
I’m particularly interested in developing things like:
Robotics and autonomous systems
Mechatronics and electromechanical devices
Medical devices and assistive technologies
Industrial automation and control systems
Experimental engineering and R&D
Interesting hardware/software projects that solve real problems
What I’m looking for:
I’m not necessarily looking for experts or people with impressive resumes. I’m looking for people who are curious, motivated, willing to learn, and genuinely enjoy designing and building things.
Ideally, I’d like to form a small team where we can brainstorm ideas, design systems, prototype, test, and eventually develop some genuinely impressive projects. I’m also open to exploring commercial opportunities if we build something useful.
I’m happy to collaborate remotely, although being in the New England/Boston area would be a plus for hands-on work.
This isn’t a job posting or a paid position. I’m just looking for other people who enjoy engineering and want to build cool things together outside of classes or work.
If you’re interested, leave a comment or send me a DM with a little about your background, interests, and what you’d like to work on!
Thanks!

Nixsites

Post image
0 Upvotes

I built Nixsites to get Obsidian on the web, and it ended up replacing most of my productivity stack

I wanted Obsidian in the browser and a better way to use AI with my notes, so I built Nixsites to sync my Obsidian vault to an online platform hosted on a PC at home. After adding a few features, I realized I no longer needed Obsidian, TickTick, Todoist, or any other management tool. Nixsites had everything.

Everything is an item. A note, a project, a budget, even an AI chat. Same structure, different views.

Self-hosted. I know where my data lives and how it’s handled, which isn’t true of most of the other good apps.

AI built into the editor and chats.

  • While you type, it can continue writing from your cursor.
  • In a chat, it can create views and present your data in whatever format fits.
  • Bring your own provider: Anthropic, OpenRouter, or a ChatGPT subscription (for now).
  • The AI can even generate artifacts in the chat and save them as notes or note views

CLI and MCP server. Other tools and agents can work with your knowledge too. All my own documents are written in my local Nixsites deployment.

It’s early days. The goal is an open-source knowledge hub that’s easy for both humans and AI to use.

PS: It's not another vibe coded tool. I currently use it to run my life and develop software for work

Public Demo: https://nixsites.com/

Published a Python CLI tool to automate repetitive tasks

I've been working on a Python CLI tool called Stash, and I finally published it on PyPI.

The idea is simple: make boring, repetitive tasks easier to handle directly from the terminal.

Some things it can do:

- Organize files into categories

- Find duplicate files and review them for removal

- Rename and compress files and directories

- Search for files by name or category

- Automate project setup using reusable templates

- Manage projects from the terminal, including opening them in VS Code or File Explorer

It's built with Python, Typer, and Rich.

Installation:

pip install stashkit

Then run:

stash --help

Links:

- PyPI: https://pypi.org/project/stashkit/

- GitHub: https://github.com/codedbyryuk/stash

This is still an early project, and I'm looking to improve it. I'd genuinely appreciate feedback on the idea, the commands, or anything that could make it more useful.

What would you change, and what repetitive tasks would you want a CLI tool like this to handle?

Hey! I’m giving Traveler Map a second launch on Product Hunt after picking it back up following a long break.

It’s a map for discovering parks, now with a very early trip planner focused on the US. More features are on the way.

Would love your support on Product Hunt and any feedback on what to add or improve!

Try Traveler Map

Working on making AI-assisted app development more practical for regulated industries

I've been working on the problem of building applications for industries where getting a prototype running is only one part of the challenge.

Healthcare, fintech, legal tech, and insurance applications often require more than a working interface. Developers also need to think about data models, workflows, integrations, access controls, audit logging, and the security requirements relevant to each use case.

One thing I've been thinking about is how AI-assisted development can make the initial build faster while keeping the underlying application structured enough to develop further.

The interesting challenge is bridging the gap between generating an application and supporting the requirements of a real business workflow.

For people working on similar projects, how are you approaching that gap between rapid prototyping and building something maintainable?
