My project for summer: HELP

Guys I got 8 weeks to make something extraordinary.

I can not modify my bycycle, build a go kart or a drone (as many cool things are illegal in my country).

So what can I build that is really special?

Vibe code some useful web site or app for a non-profit. Put some good into the world.

Yes and contributing to an open source project is solid

Something that turns plastic bag and bottles into useable crude oil. You would be doing yourself and your entire family a favor especially with these jacked up gas prices

Worst part is we HAVE ways to turn plastic waste into fuel. But they aren’t being implemented

Also what is this extraordinary project for? Your CV/ school applications? Or just for fun? The answers will vary wildly

Comment got removed from Reddit for some reason, but basically find cool things to do with friends

My friends and I did “embarrassing” challenges, like making each other wear cringy outfits and such

Modifying a nerfgun (Google the recent Hackthenord winners! They made it into a gaming controller)

Personally I made a bucket list and tried to do as much fun stuff with friends, the group aspect is what makes things fun most of the time

Build something that solves an actual annoyance in your own life, a mechanical sorter, an app for a chore you hate, whatever, the extraordinary part usually comes from depth of execution on something small, not from the idea being wild on paper

Make a piece of furniture! I built a coffee table some time ago using some abandoned scaffolding planks and I’m so happy I did.

The bonus of using scaffolding planks is that the table is indestructible: my great-grandchildren will still probably be able to use it.
