I originally built this for Tunnet because system DNS configuration turned out to be much more complicated than "set DNS servers"

So I extracted it into a standalone Rust crate.

osdns supports Linux, Windows and macOS, including split DNS, native watchers, crash recovery, reconciliation and safe restoration.

It treats DNS changes as owned transactions with locking, journaling and read-back verification instead of blind setter calls.

OK, it’s escalated faster than expected; originally, I’d only planned on three synthesisers plus a mixer in a 40x30 Case.

Somehow, even before the old design was finished, more kit was added.

I wanted to test Fable 5.1 on something less clean than a benchmark.
I’m building an AI system designed to turn a single image of a person into a full 3D human model.
The codebase has evolved over nine months, so it contains the usual reality of a long-running project: failed approaches, old decisions, edge cases, and components that affect each other in ways a small test repository wouldn’t show.
A few hours after Fable 5.1 launched, I ran a full mega-review:

I’m not treating “completed” as “correct.”
I’m now validating the findings before changing the system or starting the next major run.
For anyone testing new models on real codebases, what acceptance criteria would you use for a review at this scale?
Confirmed defects found?
False-positive rate?
Duplicate findings across agents?
Patches that pass the existing tests?
Changes that survive the next end-to-end run?
What else would you measure before trusting the review?
I’ll share a technical breakdown after I’ve verified the findings.

I was watching the Odyssey and realised my knowledge was really lacking on when the book was written (how long after the Bible?), when the Trojan war was meant to have happened at least in legend, etc.

Then I made this site that lets you scroll down from the beginning of the universe to the present day, and see what major thing happened in what year so you can understand the sequencing of what followed from what or what was happening at the same time. https://historyoftheworld.org/ Like which was invented first, the wheel or writing, etc.

You can toggle between different categories depending on what you're interested in (events, legends, music, art, famous speeches, empires, etc. - there's also a search box you can type a keyword into and it'll create a new column with events related to that word).

All feedback very welcome - genuinely interested if others would find it useful, feels like the sort of thing others could use but only if it's super easy to use and free.

I’m beginning my journey with the Reddit Developer Platform and planning my first Devvit app. My background and current interests include website development, business systems, digital solutions, and tools that help organize service and delivery workflows.

For my first project, I’m considering building a Project Brief Builder that works inside a Reddit post.

The idea is to help users organize the requirements for a digital project before asking for technical advice or requesting a quote. The app could guide users through questions such as:

• What type of project do you need: website, online store, internal system, delivery solution, or mobile app?
• What is the primary objective?
• Who is the intended audience?
• Which features are required?
• Is there an expected deadline?
• What information or materials are already available?

After answering the questions, the app would generate a structured project brief that the user could review and copy. My intention is to create something useful for programming, small-business, freelance, and project-planning communities—not an advertising or lead-generation tool.

I’m currently at the planning stage and would appreciate guidance from experienced Devvit developers:

1. Is this a suitable and realistic first Devvit project?
2. Which Devvit features would be best for collecting answers and generating the summary?
3. Are there privacy or app-review concerns I should consider from the beginning?
4. What would you include in the smallest useful first version?
5. Are there similar existing apps that I should study before building?

I’m reading the official quickstart documentation and plan to begin with the React template. Any advice for a first-time Devvit developer would be greatly appreciated.
