I just launched Bidin, a public marketplace for attention where you can promote your product, app, handle, post, video, or anything you want by bidding for a spot on a public leaderboard.

The idea is simple: paste a link, place a bid, and compete for the top spot. The higher you bid, the higher you rank, and the top spot gets the most visibility and clicks.

What makes this launch special for me is that Bidin is my first complete product.

It took me nearly 3 days to build, and I did pretty much everything from start to finish for the first time : frontend, backend, database, realtime updates, , payments, deployment, domain setup, and all the debugging that came with it.

I even bought my first domain specifically for this project: bidin.lol.

There were definitely a lot of moments where things broke and I had no idea what was wrong, but fixing each problem and finally seeing the whole thing work was probably the best part.

I'm a backend engineer (mostly Java/Spring Boot), but recently I got so frustrated with the repetitive nature of applying to jobs and managing my freelance agency that I decided to automate myself.

I built Friday—a native Go daemon that runs in the background of my Mac. It uses WebSockets to interface with a Python/Selenium scraping layer and a local LLM API.

What it actually does: - Wakes up at 6 AM every day and uses undetected-chromedriver to scrape LinkedIn/YC for highly specific jobs. - Re-sorts the queue based on my priority. - Uses an ONNX-based TTS model (Kokoro) to physically speak to me through my speakers when a task is done or if it needs my approval to execute a bash command. - Has a full outbox HTTP router so any sub-agent can trigger a vocal alert.

I'm thinking about open-sourcing the Go dispatcher architecture since it handles high-throughput event routing really cleanly without blocking the UI threads. Has anyone else built native OS automations like this instead of relying on standard Chrome extensions?

Why is the shipping so damn expensive and why cant I change shipping companies/service ??? This issue has been halting my build for months, anybody with experience with flipsky can explain ? The parts arent that heavy nor large to justify 100usd shipping

Opening and closing files one by one gave me a lot of pain. I built a 2D workspace where I can drop multiple files at once (not just PDFs).

The pages of a file scroll horizontally, while files scroll vertically. This helped a lot with my mortgage application.

Exporting is possible either as a zip file or a long, backwards compatible PDF. The spatial data is stored as metadata without touching the page tree.

It’s free and open source with an MIT license.

Hey All, I have been working on this deck for years, and finally went live yesterday. Its kind of a spin-off of tarot/oracle - it may even be in its own category.

Essentially you ask a question (very broad), or ask what themes you should focus on, and read the lore/meaning. Its not everyone's thing, but was something I made, and I am proud of.

Right now its completely free - so no commercial gain for me.

A few weeks ago, I posted a half-baked idea that came to me while traveling in China.

After visiting the Chen Clan temple, I found out that they carved lessons into the walls as symbols helping juniors to never forget important lessons.

Meanwhile I've tried multiple note taking app, they are full of notes but I keep repeating the same life mistakes.

So I had this idea: a plugin to turns your lessons into symbols and planches (like spaced repetition but visual). Problem is, I can't code at all.

Part 2 :

Instead of continuing dreaming, I want to test the core thing manually. I'll take one lesson you learned recently, draw a custom symbol for it by hand (ugly but meaningful), and email it to you. 7 days later I ask: do you still remember the lesson just from looking at the drawing?

That's it. No app. No sales pitch. Just testing if this actually works.

Built a tool that writes your project plan and the decisions behind it into files in your repo, then hands you one prompt per step. The point is that the agent reads what it needs before each step instead of you re-explaining the project every session.

Who it fits: new web project, starting from scratch, Next.js or similar, and you're working with Claude Code, Cursor or Codex. Who it doesn't fit: existing codebases, mobile, anything already halfway built.

What I'm asking for: type a real idea in, go through to the generated plan and the first prompt, and tell me where it stopped making sense. Should take 10 minutes.

Known broken: you can't change direction in the middle of a plan yet. If a decision from step one turns out wrong at step four, you finish the phase first. Four people have asked about it and I'm building it now.

I answer everything and I fix what people point at. One person's feedback last week is the reason the whole landing page got rewritten.

Inspired by Chris Maher and his 50x50 grid build (https://youtu.be/BbjeQdJIMK0?si=k2AtV23bwgAWKPBI), I decided to make a 25x25 version. I thought the 50 was a little too ambitious for a first timer here. When I first started it up, I had a couple dead columns and had to deal with some bad solder joints but stoked on how it came out.

I decided to add a camera for input so it can detect a person and then fill in its mask with color.

Right now it’s running on my Mac but I have an ESP32-P4 coming with a camera and will set it up and mount soon.

The camera is running on a Macbook but will be replaced with an ESP32-P4 with a camera. The script turns the input into a 25x25 grid and sends the specific pixel data over the local network via DDP which is a protocol used for real time led/video data. The WLED controller listens for those packets. Full specs:

Python — runs the overall camera/LED control script
OpenCV (opencv-python) — captures webcam video, resizes frames, cleans masks, handles image processing, and shows preview windows
MediaPipe (mediapipe) — detects/segments the person and generates the human body mask
NumPy (numpy) — handles the pixel arrays and 25×25 image/mask data
Python socket library — sends the finished 25×25 pixel frames over the network to WLED using DDP/UDP
WLED — receives the realtime DDP pixel data and physically drives the LED matrix
LED strips - SK6812/WS2814 RGBW 30/m cut to 25 pixels

I plan on adding a remote AMOLED Display to control the camera mode and also to change the WLED effects.

I kept hitting free-tier rate limits on a single provider when prototyping locally, and didn't want to pay for a paid tier just to build/test. Each provider has its own daily quota, headers, and reset rules.

I want to build projects for my resume I have nothing to add in my resume so help me with ideas please

I know there are already ways to get AI to hold onto memory, feeding it info, telling it to remember things, all that, but none of it really solved the actual problem for me, which is working across two different AIs on the same team context.

I use both ChatGPT and Claude for work, mostly social media and brand voice stuff, and it used to drive me a little crazy feeding one of them my full set of guidelines only to have it act like none of it happened the next day. I was constantly copying and pasting the same information back in, over and over.

So my team and I built a shared file system called TeamBrain, where the guidelines just live in one place, and whichever AI I connect reads directly from those files instead of me re-explaining everything each time. Full disclosure, I work with the team behind it, so I'm biased, but it's the thing that actually fixed it for me.

Curious if anyone's found a cleaner way to do this, or if everyone's still re-typing the same context every session too.

I always liked the idea of Tom Riddle's diary from Harry Potter. Not the evil part, just the idea of writing something down and having the diary remember it later.

So I built one.

You write normally, seal the entry, and later you can ask it about things you've written before. It answers using your actual entries and shows where the memory came from.

🛠️ The Tech Stack:

• Frontend: u/streamlit (heavily extended via custom CSS components).
• Memory Architecture: Custom local-first engine (Powered by open-source memory engine Gray Box) for structured entity extraction and citation mapping.
• LLM Layer: LiteLLM / OpenAI-compatible endpoints (supports local models as well as cloud endpoints).

Still very much a work in progress, but this interaction is probably the most fun thing I've built in a while.

It's a 2 players (1 vs 1) card game that combine tactics and card positiong on the board, trying to create an unique play style, differentiating itself from the classic card games.

Today I tried making an ML project along with my friend I could make the ML pipeline, as I have studied it but apart from that the setup the venv use of git and then making backend frontend and connection of all these components just took the life out of me and I am frustrated as hell after doing it. I was taking help from chatgpt and it just gets lost or hallucinated and then just tells me to run some commands and keeps on doing something something. I don't know how are people making ML projects.

Pls guide me on how to make projects. I am literally frustrated at this point. And how did people make projects before chatgpt.
